Salem looks like my Onyx who was hit by a car on Halloween 2012. It was just two days after my aunt's birthday, yet she died in September. That cat was my aunt's favorite.

They are beauties aren't they, so sorry for your loss of Onyx. It is very hard to take.

We humans broke our relationship with Creator, no animal ever did.
Therefore, Creator-Son Jesus died for humans, not for animals.
Of course animals know their maker and they will go into Creator`s presence after leaving their mortal bodies behind.
I don`t think it matters if you call the place heaven, the other side or something else. It isn`t the label that matters, it is the reality of it that does.

1 Corinthians 15:30's onward convinced me that animals, if not go to heaven, are resurrected. That, and my personal experiences with my pets. If WE can love animals so much, how much more must God love them?

The Christian Heaven? No. But I expect to meet the puppies in Valhalla. I think they will like it there. That or helping Cerberus guarding Hell.
Why, are puppies warriors? :) Some actually are. :( Hey, I'm not trying to be rude, but it ever occur to you that the Scandinavian concept of Valhalla was just that culture's way of understanding what God was trying to convey to us (along with the culture's biases, which happens nowadays as well)?

I am fully expecting to see my nearly 20 year feline companion for eternity in heaven.

Here are the puppies. Even old they stayed puppies in a sense. I would not want to face either armed only with knife and sword. (Well I would because the only danger to me is being licked to death). Note the black one is about 16 in that picture.

What sweet babies. I pray you are reunited with them. Dogs are awesome, aren't they? I had a dog growing up who was so smart. He looked like the black dog in your pic. We lived in a rented townhouse, where the doorbell was on the left side of the door. When he was let out, he would jump up and press the doorbell with his paw. When we bought a townhouse farther down, with the doorbell on the right, he soon learned how to jump up and ring it! He was such a cool dog!

The animals that are chosen as pets and are cared for, while all other animals which are billions of times the number more and live shortened lives filled with suffering and brutality, don't have a priority over them, for that which all creation groans for, Romans 8, but Yahweh God will provide perfection of his design again which was shown in the creation, Genesis 1, as shown in in the prophetic visions of what will come, Isaiah 11, and Isaiah 65. God cares for animals, and would have humanity care for the animals they manage, Proverbs 12:10, even though generally that doesn't happen, and as it is in the perfection of heaven, just as we should pray for God's will to be on earth, that perfect will of God should come in our own lives. It would with that be reflected in our own choices. It has example shown from Daniel, with his friends, in the book of Daniel 1. Why hope for reunion with a departed pet in the hereafter, in the benevolence of God, and still continue to take part in the suffering and brutality toward animals used for what is provided for you, with choices made, when it is not even healthier for you, and is a part of what contributes to problems coming to this world, and not in the perfect design from God, as it is in heaven and should be on earth, even in our lives?
