We should trade places, Jeshu. I sleep like a log at times. I want to sleep less. I know when I don't sleep I feel irritated and not myself. If you really can't sleep with natural remedies and prayers, you should get a sleep study done and find out the reasons for your lack of sleep. You may find out that there is a physical reason for your lack of sleep. God bless!

Thank you for saying a prayer for me that was very nice of you. The doctors say that my insomnia comes from my mental illness, I have struggled with sleep for years already. I fall asleep easily enough but awake far to soon and can't get back to sleep. It is 3.20 am now, I've been awake since 12 midnight, I'm not sure when sleep will come again.

I do try to catch some sleep whenever I can, when I get a tired spell then I'm in bed within minutes and usually catch an extra hour or two, but when my insomnia is bad then I find it very hard to get more than 4-5 hours sleep a day. Once I averaged 3 hours a day for 14 months and then I went psychotic, no wonder really anyone deprived of sleep for so long would go of the handle I reckon.

Sleep medication only works a few times and then becomes ineffective, the only thing that works is tons of psych medications but that turns me into a zombie and isn't much fun or an long term option either.

Wasn't it John Lennon who wrote "Imagine"? (One of my few favorite songs, actually!) Hero worship, in my books, is okay. But if you forget that they're also humans, and have their own (and are allowed) opinions or say what they think, then you're just setting yourself up for massive disappointment.

Off topic but when I was in fourth (?) grade or fifth, I always thought John Lennon was Vladimir Lenin's nicer brother.

Yes doing wrong burns up true and right and ends up twisting true you into untrue you and casting you forlorn in the gutter of life with no one caring for you one bit. I've been there, done that and know how terrible it is when our heart are perverted by inappropriate content, (or any other wrong for that matter.) The way that I escaped inappropriate content is like this,

I acknowledge to God who I was - what happens to me when I watched inappropriate content - time and again - and who and what ruled my heart.
I praised God for making beautiful people.
I prayed for the inappropriate content stars themselves.
I asked God to forgive the wrong in me lusting after wrong.
I asked God to talk to me during wrong times. (I read the Word or let the truth of the word speak its thing.)

This way the wicked captivating died, the you who are captive will be are freed (you don't watch inappropriate content any more but if you do you feel sorry for the inappropriate content stars and pray for them and don't dream of lusting after them any more,) the good thing is that the inappropriate content stars themselves are surrounded by forgiving love. Jesus is awesome at cleansing corrupted hearts you can be assured of this.

Your job in this;

Fight the dragon accuser with all you got! (He, the harlot and false prophet are behind all his.)
Don't try to stop watching inappropriate content in your own strength, do it through faith, hope and love - stop fighting. (no genocide within yourself.)
Watch the lawless one being revealed in your heart. This self in you who uses God's grace to do wrong and saying that God doesn't mind it any longer. (please brother get one your knees when you do, and wait for Christ to come and cut him down. If after that you still have life in sexual wrong then continue to let the wicked be wicked still and the righteous be righteous still and start on the next habit in wrong within your sex life. (Arrive in Ezekiel 24 for yourself and then you will acknowledge that sin is lewdness and that it is very hard to stop doing wrong once you have life in it. However as Ezekiel 25-33 explain in smallest detail, the Lord Himself will fight your enemies. Rulers within your world of being will be punished and the nations that surround you will be punished. While you yourself will be be visited by God and redeemed from your sin, Matthew 24:40-44 and resurrected in your faith life, and allowed to dwell in your own land, with the prince (love for God) doing the ruling and the sacrifices at the same time in a brand new temple within the kingdom of Jesus. He rules from Zion. That's were you want to be!!!)
Fight the great prostitute with all you got and see Revelation 2:20-29 come true inside of your own heart. Especially the verse 22-23 are not to be scorned or under estimated. Jesus has a two edged sword!!!

When you begin to do good during what used to be sinful time then you will see that the Dragon himself will destroy the great prostitute for God will put it in his heart to do so and your hallelujah song will start playing its melody as well.

Honest brother Jesus is awesome at saving us from our sins.

Loved everything about this post...so encouraging. I have struggled with this and so many other sins. And the way you put everything makes it seem like there is a way out. I used to justify by thinking that we are all animals anyways but I realized when I looked at Jesus we have the capability of being so much more and should WANT to be more than animals. When I look at the animal kingdom like even cute cuddly penguins they are so ruthless and mean sometimes. It's just nature but the kindness and compassion that Jesus showed is what sets my heart ablaze and inspires me. Animals are still awesome but I feel like there should be so much more to life than eating and sex.

Also once in prayer it was revealed to me what sex is really meant for at it's highest and it inspired such a sense of awe in me that it really put me to shame for what I had made it into by saying that we are all animals.
So not true.
I never realized just how beautiful the act can be when it's shared with someone who you're very in love with. How unifying it can be...
