I wonder if the third temple can be linked to the resurrection of Christ, in some way. Jesus referred to himself as the temple when he prophesied his own death and resurrection.

Whenever we read that the return of Christ is unexpected, and unannounced, we should keep in mind the context. Those parables are for Christians (whether professing or genuine). Therefore this unexpected return applies to the Rapture, where Christ is depicted as the Divine Bridegroom and the Church is the Bride.Interesting. Thoughts?
No, there is no linkage whatsoever. The third temple will be Antichrist's Temple (2 Thess 2:1-12).I wonder if the third temple can be linked to the resurrection of Christ, in some way. Jesus referred to himself as the temple when he prophesied his own death and resurrection.
Indeed we have some time to go. United Nations Global Sustainability Agenda isn't due to roll out until 2030ish. Thats when things will get really interesting since they plan on irradiating poverty on a global scale which, means a big change to our current financial institutions. Some have suggested that the temple described in 2 Thess. 2 is symbolic. I do think the natural reading is a literal one; however, I do have to say that if it is literal then we have a lot of prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled.

However, Christ and the Apostles are clear that the day comes as a thief in the night, i.e., totally unexpectedly. So it could happen tonight or a week from now. We just don't know.
The thief in the night scripture is regarding the day of our LORDs return... No where in this thread am I talking about the LORDs return. My last post was regarding the Mark of the Beast prophecy. It is not clear to me how you interpret the NT but for many of us we believe the NT and its prophecies are to be fulfilled entirely. The sooner you understand that what the bible says must come to pass the sooner you'll stop blindy waiting for an impending return despite what hasn't occurred, yet needs to occur before our Lord is to return. However, Christ and the Apostles are clear that the day comes as a thief in the night, i.e., totally unexpectedly. There is no more mention of the church on Earth after Revelation 4. In Revelation 5 we see the Church around the throne in heaven. Next you see the seals being opened.but ye - brethren - are not in darkness as to that day.
The church is never told that she will be surprised as a thief by that day.
The resurrection of the just will happen ahead of the rapture of those that remained faithful to Jesus
Christ and never died yet. There will only be one resurrection of the just, the rest of the people dead or
that die in the future will end up dying the second death later.
The church has been told to be blameless to the day of the Lord. That means till the day of the Lord signs
have begun, including the sun goes dark-the stars of heaven fall/6th seal. These are events that Jesus Christ
placed as happening after the tribulation of those days that would be like no other.
4th seal - Habakkuk chapter 2
the timing of the proud Chaldean man - death and desires to as hell.
at the end it shall speak
will gather the nations
5th seal - no saints yet resurrected from the dead have been changed
all rest till all come in that are to be killed
two witnesses slain by the beast out of the bottomless pit
6th seal -end of trib signs
sun black
stars fall
Rev. 7 - a new vision
This vision will fill in details of what will happen during the seals that were so far opened.
The time of four corners is linked back to Ezekiel chapter 7 and 9, time to seal people and
send the worst of the heathen against the land of Israel.
Be careful when looking at the last part of Matthew 24. It is no longer referring to the events that lead
up to the great tribulation or the rapture, but is the scene of just before heaven and earth will pass away.
the day and the hour that no man knows
Kjv
Matthew 24:35
"Heaven and earth shall pass away..." v 36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man..."
Chapter 25 continues that same day and hour prophecy time.
The sheep and goats will be divided. The goats people will get lashed and taken to be burned.
The sheep people will gain eternal life - as in inherit the kingdom prepared for them since the
foundation of the world.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.John saw when it will happen in Revelation. It is not right after His 1000 yrs reign, as first there will be another Gog
war. People before that knew of this coming new heaven and new earth, but not the timing or order. Peter wrote
about it, yet he seemed to think that it could happen whenever. He told as to not be ignorant as to the thousand years is as one day with the Lord.
Point? The church is a group that has specific traits, such as keeps the faith.

2 John verse 7
"Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that
ye receive a full reward."
7th trumpet sounds
Rev. 11:18
"And....the time...that thou shouldest give reward....to the saints...."
Luke 14:14
"And thou shalt be...recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
Philippians 3:11
"If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead."
Revelation 5 does not have all of the saints yet in heaven. Every creature is yearning
for the day of redemption. Luke told us that -"for there shall be great distress in the land".
"So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass..."
Luke 21:27
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for
your redemption draweth nigh."
We are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Romans 8:22-23
It is not an event immediately after the 1000 years. John saw a Gog war and the resurrection of the wicked first.
Do you agree that this is where John saw a new vision, as in a new story, a new
laid out to him sequence of events?
KJV
Rev. 19:1
"And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation..."
////after these things - is referring to after the other visions-he now hears and sees this one happen
We can tell that there are lots of people up in heaven. Have they put on eternal life yet?
Well, they say-Salvation. It is time that the great harlot city was judged by God. So
we are past the time of the 5th seal martyrs cried out, and no more can be slain.
1 Peter 1:9
"Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."
Rev. 12:10
"And I heard a loud voice in heaven, Now is come salvation,....for the accuser of our
brethren is cast down..." v11 "And they overcame him..."
This means that salvation doesn't come until the brethren are done being chased by
this accuser cast down to where they are.
v11 continues "...and they loved not their lives unto the death."
///they -the brethren, the church, the ones keeping the faith until it is time to take down
the wicked mystery city that slew the saints, the ones still keeping the faith in Rev. 14.
Rev. 14:12
"Here is the patience of the saints...they that keep the faith of Jesus."
