Dude, please don't through scripture at me. I tend to read what comes before and follows after. Many times the context doesn't fit their use. This has nothing to do with advertising, it has to do with taking substance from the offerings of the temple and that is because that was ordained by God when Arron first became God's high priest.
The pastor Osteen has several books, but doesn't advertise anything before, during or after his sermons.

I'm not knocking the guy. I'm sure he's a fine minister. It's just a turnoff for my to do such things.

do you know that if you expand GOD's kingdom, you are building yourself ? let me share something to fix ur mindset.

word-of-faith / prosperity gospel (lets short cut it as wof/pg) core design is as cutting edge evangelism tools. You buy his books, you expand GOD's kingdom (or you can say some preachers influence), you are building yourself.

If you have attitude that: "oh no... here he asked my money again". You lost most of the benefits of being wof/pg.
the right attitude: "alright, another investment opportunity to expand GOD's kindgom"

put it another way, do you know MLM such as amway ? have you notice the similarities ? MLM gurus (e.g. amway diamonds) pretty much showcase his property. Be it his achievements, his team performance, his assets, recommend some books, ask to buy tapes / book. These are ways influence non-member to become MLM member, or to buy amway product.

wof/pg target of recruitment is surely non-member. Who is non-member ?
1st, it's non-believers
2nd, but also other christians who simply wants to connect, absorb, and learn with certain wof/pg preachers.

I just saved a guys life at a rest stop in Louisiana. I stopped to take a rest break there and when I woke up the guy was leaning up against his truck looking really pale. I asked him if he was alright and he said he had a headache and felt dizzy as all get out. I ended up calling 9/11 on my cell phone and and getting him help out there. I left after the first responders got there so I can get this load delivered on time.

I got a message over my satellite communications unit, called a Qualcom if I'd had assisted a truck driver about an hour earlier and I had to call in to my company to see what they wanted and was told the other driver had called up wanting to thank me. It seems he was having a heart attack and didn't know it. The ambulance got there and found out he was having it and rushed him to the hospital.

My dispatcher gave me his number and I called him. He thanked me and he and his 7week pregnant wife and 2 dogs are safe, sound and alive right now because of me, so I can probably say I just expanded God's kingdom by helping a family of his children live just a little bit longer and I didn't have to sell anything to make that happen. All I did was do what comes naturally to me and that is to love and care about everyone around me.

I know this pastor means a great deal to you. He might be the best pastor in the world but as I've said I didn't like him advertising during a sermon and I never will.

Kingdom of GOD works like US military. There are navy, airfoce, army, clandestine, joint-force, etc.. many level, sophisticated details, and surely many things are "not-civilized".

you can't push navy doctrine into airforce... somebody needs to be the showcase, somebody needs to be kevin.

favorite pastor ? mine is Joseph Prince and Joel Osteen ... but of course i am wof/pg, that's include benny hinn, Keneeth copeland, jesse duplantis and many TBN teleevangelist.

I'm not going to get into theology with you, but the Kingdom of God is in Heaven and I don't think either one of us has seen it. I have been in the Army and know well how that works I would thank you not to use that analogy when speaking about a place that we will spend eternity in. Please don't bring up Benny Hinn, thank you!

I am not theologian. I am a business man, but i walk with CHRIST a-lot. Take a look at my siggy, No-theory man.

Are you familiar with spiritual warfare ? chuck pierce book: GOD's unfolding battle plan should give a good mindset, as you were in army. purpose: spiritual warfare and Kingdom of GOD are related.

The only spiritual book I read is the Bible. That was put down by the ultimate author of all things. God fights our battles for us when we accept his son as our savior. We need not read that which isn't meant for our ears. If it was It would be in the Bible.

I don't think Jessie relies on book sales to fund the mass millions it takes to have a 30 miniute preaching in the major television markets.
