27Joshua said to all the people, "Behold, this stone shall be for a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the LORD which He spoke to us; thus it shall be for a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God."
Zechariah
8'Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you-- indeed they are men who are a symbol, for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch. 9'For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,' declares the LORD of hosts, 'and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.…
indeed they are men who are a symbol
Compared to the Tanakh.
for they are men worthy of a miracle-for
Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it.
Where as in the Tanakh it is written.
Behold! I untie its knots, says the Lord of Hosts,
This reminded me of the vision given to Peter in Acts.
Acts 10:9-16New International Version (NIV)
Peter’s Vision
9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
Also notice how ''...(I will) engrave the engraving (thereof)...' מְפַתֵּחַ פִּתֻּחָהּmay also be read, ....(I will, or I have an) open (a) door...
"6605 פתח (paw-thakh') a primitive root; to open wide (literally or figuratively); specifically, to loosen, begin, plough, carve:-- appear, break forth, draw (out), let go free, (en-)grave(-n), loose (self), (be, be set) open(-ing), put off, ungird, unstop, have vent." [6605 Strong's Hebrew]
"6607 פתח (peh'-thakh) from 6605; an opening (literally), i.e. door (gate) or entrance way:-- door, entering (in), entrance (-ry), gate, opening, place. See 6605." [6607 Strong's Hebrew]
This open door (like the Crown of life) is for the prisoners mentioned in the letter to Smyrna, and is realized, and received by the congregation of Philadelphia;
Though it is a Spiritual Stone, the Stone is by no means figurative, it is an Actual Living Stone, the same One whom called the children of Israel unto Himself, and spoke to them from the Theon (molten rock);
"Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our Fathers were under the Cloud, and all passed through the sea;
And were all baptized unto Moshé in the Cloud and in the sea;
And did all eat the same Spiritual meat;
And did all drink the same Spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was H'Meshiyach." [1st Corinthians 10:1-4]
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see Ea'huah:
Looking diligently or inadvertently any man fail of the Grace of Elohym; or inadvertently any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Or inadvertently there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
For you are not come unto the Mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
And the Sound of a Trumpet, and the Voice of words; whose Voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
[Thus fear initially hindered receiving the Covenant, thus it is love that causes one to embrace the Covenant]
(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
And so terrible was the sight, that Moshé said, I exceedingly fear and quake,
But you are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living Elohym, the heavenly Y'rusalem, and to an innumerable company of Angels,
To the General Assembly and Congregation of the firstborn, who are written in heaven, and to Elohym the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
And to Y'shua the Mediator of the New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
See that you refuse not the One who speaks. If there was no escape for those who refused the One who spoke on earth, how much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from the One who speaks from heaven:
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifys the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which can not be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a Kingdom which can not be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve Elohym acceptably with reverence and Sovereign respect:
For our Sovereign Author is a Consuming Fire." [Hebrew 12:14-29]
"Let Brotherly Love Continue."
[i.e. Philadelphia, for eternal-pillar like 'Continuance' is precisely what is promised unto those who ressurect from Smyrna unto Philadelphia and continue to Overcome the world with their faith (without doubt).]
"Be not forgetful to entertain Strangers: for thereby some have entertained Angels unawares.
We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.
Let us go forth therefore unto him outside the camp, bearing his 'Reproach' [stigmas, marks, writtings, identifying characteristic traits, Appropriate Motes in the eye (if you will)].
For Here have we no continuing city, but we Seek One to Come." [Hebrew 13:1-2, 10-11, & 13-14]
"To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of Elohym, and precious,
You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohym by Y'shua H'Meshiyach." [1st Peter 2:4-5
Well, I liked what you got from it, and that encouraged me to take a closer look, I also like the notion of 'opening the engraving (writing)'.
