That is terrific information! Thank you! Very freeing!

It certainly is. And for me as a recovering perfectionist, if I had to do a perfect 1200 everyday for months, I probably could, but the whole prefectionism thing would rear its ugly head and I wouldn't be healthy, even if I had a good fat to muscle ratio. KNow what I mean?

And as for exercise, I gave my body a rest day. Skipping those is what utlimately gave me the injury. It was that perfectionist girl, again.

Yes, I do know what you mean. I went 93 over my calorie limit, but I figure that's nothing. I did kind of graze after dinner--I took some popcorn, then a cheese stick--and then the rest of the bag of popcorn--but the meals were good.

Looking forward to sleep and a new day tomorrow.

I couldn't face the treadmill or neck exercises yesterday--I woke up late and kept procrastinating.

I was tempted to procrastinate today, too--but by grace I forced myself, and now the treadmill is done.
Yes, I try to do some time every day on the exercise bike.

I told myself that I needed to get started on homework for my new class--and I'd been procrastinating that, too.

But I just did the first part, so now I'm going to do my neck exercises. I've got the ball rolling!
Yes, this is the trick; start, and you're likely to keep going... :)

I went on a lovely bike ride and did some yoga. I'm running the LA Marathon tomorrow, so I'll definitely be getting in my exercise then!

I do some type of exercise every day. I've not missed a day since June 1, 2016. No injuries. I've finally found success here. For a long time, I was addicted to exercise and would yoyo exercise. I would be extreme, then get injured, couldn't workout for quite some time, then I could and repeat the cycle all over again.

I've been getting a lot of healing for my soul wounds, and getting rid of subconscious bad programming and emotions from the body. It's helped so much. In return, I listen to what my body is telling me. Some days it's saying an intense workout would not be good, so I listen. Other times, it's okay to do an intense workout. Or, if something feels like it's on the verge of injury, then I'll take care of that through restorative work and do something else.

The key to staying motivated is to listen to what your body is telling you, not to your emotions. And, I vary things quite a bit. I try to stay on a program, but if my body says it's too aggressive, then I change things up. I keep a calendar log of all my workouts on an app on my iPhone. I've put the ones for this year that I have completed. It helps me see visually what I've accomplished.

And, I am in some support groups for the workout programs that I'm in. I'm mainly doing Beachbody programs, but I also do other programs. I find the Facebook groups I'm in quite encouraging and people do not bash. When you're with a group of highly motivated people, it helps. Though, I love exercise and am already motivated.

The past couple days, my sleep has been poor so I've not been able to do my normal workouts and have just done light restorative work. My goal is to do something physically active and good for my body EVERY DAY. I am kind to myself, too, so that helps. Hope this helps.

I have just joined Planet Fitness this last week. I have not gone in to exercise yet because I have a medical thing going on that I'm resting through for right now. I hope to feel well enough to go in tomorrow or Monday.

I chose to join because I need to lose weight to help relieve some of my physical struggles and also preventative measures. It is less expensive than the physical therapy I've been going through for muscle weakness and balance issues. The therapy sessions ended. I am still doing the exercises at home most days, but stopped when I had the medical procedure two days ago. I plan to start back up, and work my way up to using to weight lifting machines. I have some exercise DVDs at home, but they are difficult to do because of physical problems. However, at Planet Fitness I can sit on the exercise bikes and get some cardio in without having to rely on my weak legs, knees, and back to support me while I exercise.

Hopefully starting tomorrow I will be doing my PT at home again, and may get in a visit to use the bikes.
