I can't think of anything in particular to give up, so I'll try the thing of doing more "good stuff," trying to be more Christ-like, etc

PS does anyone think the way "fast" is defined is pretty lenient? 2 small meals and 1 regular one...heck that's about what I do anyway...

I thought was one regular meal with no meat except fish. And two smaller meals or snacks but just enough to
maintain strength. The two meals cannot equal the amount of the regular meal???

that is the minimum
so if that seems really lenient, then do more

Water only.
God bless you in your fasting. I would try but I need energy with the childrens and the dog and the whatnot. I don't know what I will do for Lent yet; I've though about giving up cold beverages other than water (I'm too caffeine-dependent right now to go water-only.) That would do nicely for stripping away a worldly aspect of my person. I will have to think quickly now about what I would like to do for prayer.

Lent: What are you doing?

Hopefully failing to fulfill whatever resolutions I have or will make this Lent .

Failing in such things is good for me.......makes me realise the necessity of being poor in spirit .

God help me if at dawn of Easter day I can say " I have succeeded " .

Do more RAOK's. i start out with great intentions to visit a friend in the hospital and bake a casserole for a friend recovering from knee surgery and then the day runs away from me. I will better my follow through this Lent.

So, lent has started people. Anyone been to mass yet for Ash Wednesday? I went this morning. 44 days and counting! I know, i should not think like that. I have even done myself a chart that is on my fridge as a count down! I do find it hard which i know it is supposed to be.
