just wondering should christians pay car insurance?
I know some christians told me they didnt have any insurance as they just trusted God.
If you were in a crash did the insurance pay out or is it not worth the hassle? Is it better to just pray beforehand instead...and cheaper? What happens to your money if you forget to pay?

Also, isnt insurance looking at worst case scenario? If your car is written off, then do you get back what you put in? I dont take my car on long journeys all the time. But im a pretty good driver, and careful.

I didnt pay travel insurance and dont think its worth it for a holiday of only two weeks for example.

Tiny Bible's got the answer here. Auto insurance doesn't just pay for repairing your fender. It also protects you from enormous medical bills if you're seriously injured, and it pays for insurance against being sued by the other driver for hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars.

If you want to "chance it," you can always insure yourself only for these emergencies and risk the destruction of your car, but it'll still be costly.

In the UK the law requires you to have, at the minimum, third party cover. Without it the police would take your vehicle until such time as you produce proof of insurance. (You would have to pay a storage fee for the vehicle). They may also prosecute you for the offence.
So if, as a Christian, you decide to have no insurance then to be honest you must decide not to drive.

*They shouldn't be driving a vehicle if they don't
insurance coverage...I trust God too, but that didn't
prevent me from being in two car wrecks (I wasn't
at fault in either wreck.)

*In the USA and many other places...
You have to report the accident right away and /file insurance claim.
I got the settlement for my car in about two weeks.
I was reimbursed for medical treatment/rehabilitation etc.

You're in NZ, so inquire about how this works in your country.

Where I'm from you get a reminder about your insurance being due ...many places offer a
"grace period."

Where I live it's the law to have car insurance. My best recommendation is to get it. I think it's silly to not get it and think prayer alone will keep you safe. You might as well not wear a seat belt while you're at it. I'm not saying God can't protect you but God also put general rules in place for earth. You should get it and then trust and hope in God that you don't have to use it. If you get in a accident then you can be thankful that you have it.

First its the LAW that you have financial responsibility. If and I do mean IF you are a PERFECT driver and make NO mistakes I can see why a person might ask why have car insurance. BUT... just suppose some other driver, who has no insurance hits you, your insurance pays. Also suppose I have insurance and I hit you, but you have no insurance, YOU ARE IN TROUBLE, the law says you must, so my insurance does not have to pay you a dime!

I carry high limits on insurance, why? Because I want my passengers protected, and me and my truck covered. I hate to pay lawyers a dime, once they get their grubby little hands on you you will pay by the hair on your teeth.
