A report conducted by Senate Republicans estimates the Obama administration gave about $750 million in Obamacare health insurance subsidies to illegal immigrants who aren't eligible for them.

The report, released Monday by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, also says that while the IRS has implemented a plan to take back the government assistance, the plan is "ineffective and insufficient."

Illegal immigrants aren't eligible for health insurance subsidies provided to low-income Americans through President Obama's healthcare law. But some still succeeded in collecting the government assistance, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which announced in June that it had ended coverage for about 423,000 consumers who had failed to produce "sufficient documentation on their citizenship or immigration status.

If that is true then I hope that everything is exposed and verified. If this is true then somebody or many should have to pay severe consequences for their allowing abuse of government funds that were paid for by the taxpaying American public.

However, I am a little Leary of a report by Republicans that estimates millions of dollars wasted by their opposing Democrat President. I am not about to do anything when such partisan reports come out that are estimates. I have found that both Republicans and Democrats will try and manipulate the voting public for their own interest. If they really have proof then they know exactly how to inform the public with concrete verifications. If they provide proof then it is true; if they do not provide proof then it is a manipulation attempt.

Yeah, I agree. I posted this, but I am willing to see what pans out.

You would think if anybody knows it would be McConnell, he lets Obama do whatever he wants without an argument. Which also means Mitch is digging his own grave come re-election time, that's if the folks in KY are paying attention...

Oh no, taking care of and providing for poor and destitute people, how very un-Christian of them. Jesus must be so ashamed (sarcasm dully noted).

Oh come on. You know if you've ever broken any law, you deserve to painfully die of disease.

If this story is true? We aren't sure it is at this point - yet if it is? It's the principal of thing. You don't reassure your country that only citizens will use this system - and then do the opposite. Unless you are saying Jesus would encourage lying and not following through on laws. Yeah, no sarcasm there. I'm serious.

We do have systems in place for those that need emergency care - and other care. It was there prior to Obamacare, and its still there. We have plenty of citizens outside Obamacare that don't have insurance still - they use it too.

We just had a young lady move in with us - my daughter's BF - with a nutty family, no support, and she has been struggling since she was 18. She is 21 at this point, and we asked her to move here to our state. During that period of time she got cancer, and now she is in remission. She has follow up care with Planned Parenthood - it was a female cancer - because she has no insurance. She is a citizen.

Now that she has a permanent address at our home, and we are getting her residency here? Hopefully, that will change and her circle of care will widen. Until then? She is very THANKFUL that she has care at all.

So, this speech about NOT providing care, etc? It disingenuous.

I don't know about Jesus encouraging people to provide the best help only to those who have never broken (or been caught breaking) a law.

When I read your above response, I was reminded of Jesus' parable of the Sheep and the Goats in Matthew 25:31-46.

If they are illegal then they should be deported point blank period.
Much too wasteful... They should be shot, point blank. Period.

The right to life should be for citizens only!

I didn't say that.

Matter of fact - I don't even know how you got there.

You cited the doubtfulness of Jesus encouraging people not to follow through on laws, yes?

One of the main arguments for the merciless deportation of undocumented immigrants is that they had the audacity to break a law and now deserve whatever's coming to them.

My position is that there are plenty of laws the get overlooked, and that the breaking of this one shouldn't disqualify one from mercy or societal help.

I did not say they did not have the right to treatment, however once treated and stablized they should be deported.
