Greetings and God Bless to you all, I hope the warmth of the Lord our God has found you today in spite of this weather. Lately i've been thinking about making some kind of return to Christian society, but i'm not sure if I can. For many years i've spent all my time among those who hate the bible. I rebelled against Christ and took up arms against the Lord our God back in 2005, I was miserably defeated and left broken in 2012. During times of isolation I found my way back to the Lord and to my master Jesus Christ.
I enjoyed these times of isolation and was able to not only strengthen my understanding of the faith, but see it in a new light a light in which one should follow Christ as someone to become. We are his followers, so we should follow him directly instead of saying "oh well he's the son of God, so you can't be like him, go listen to a church leader instead". I prefer to dedicate my life to replicating him, as his follower. Yes he is the son of God, but so are all Men.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the way and the life, none shall travel through the father but through him. But I believe you still have to travel! He showed us the road, but we still have much to learn and to do, if we are to chase his glory. He is related to each and every one of us, by the holy spirit. If a man were to spend all his time, meditating, praying and striving to understand Jesus Christ, then I believe he will change permanently.
Anyone who chooses to follow a master, is essentially saying that they want to be like them. What's the point of putting so much into your master, only to never get closer to them? Could you imagine trying to learn Martial arts, but never consulting your *Actual* master? But someone else who has their own agenda? How would you get better? Same with religious pursuits, we should be striving to better manage the storm within us. Through the teachings of our Lord.
I don't want to bore you but I have a lot of feelings on the faith that don't seem to be replicated in the Churches. I've seen hour long sermons that don't even mention one direct quote from Christ. So I'm searching for a place to talk about the Lord other than my own friends, because majority of my friends are not religious.
