My router has been acting up the last 3 days. I will get disconnected for a few seconds and will get reconnected again..This goes on several times a day. I tried to reset/reboot it, did troubleshooting as stated in the instructions manual but to no avail. Is there a way to have it fixed or should I just get a new one.

Router firmware degrades over time, the same way windows installations do. Before you trash it try flashing a firmware update. IMO, though, it's good to have a second router on hand, unless you live close to a computer store.

Asus brand makes some nice routers, I have one and it works great. Their stock firmware is also quite nice. They provide firmware updates frequently, which is important. Since they fix performance issues, vulnerabilities, and add new features. In my case, I went and flashed mine with AdvancedTomato. Now my router has even more options and features than before.

Just wanted to share my opinion, and recommend Asus wireless routers.
