There are other gods, but no other God. Money, success, power, influence, celebrity, affluence; all of these can cause us to be unfaithful to God. It is far from impossible, sadly.

Talking about the evils of the wild woman...
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. Proverbs 7
I can't tell you the times on the job where I see a man and a woman sitting together talking about family problems.... And guess what happens next?

As i was reading chapter 7, this verse stood out for me:
verse 2:
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
especially where it says "apple of thine eye"...
reminds me of David and how he was the "apple of God's eye" and in conjunction with that, it is written that he was "a man after God's own heart".
how precious is THAT?
It must be encouraging us to "embrace to our hearts" as David did, God's wisdom and guidance and direction.
verse 2:

I have been here, about 4 times today.
Only now can I say.
It is nice to see you all growing.
It is.
It takes many times and many years
Also but an instant
Actually before that instant
For things happen
~When God decides
Not later~
I am wishful as my heart swells with all of you
I am wishful as you grow
Although what you know today
The Lord gives
What you know tommorrow
That also The Lord gives
Strive please to know this.
Jesus is in an amount you might know one day
Infinitely Infinitely Infinitely and then some

And He is mild
Does that seem strange. It did to me. The first day when I saw Jesus, Eucharistically. "Oh The Big Bad God of the Universe is Tender and mild" Those were my words to Him, after I was informed. Never did I know that, till I was informed. Never did I suspect that, as I know of Sodom. I know of The Walls of Jerico. I know. Who would ever think, that was all done out of love.
Who?
~I had to be told.~ Now, I know. "The Big Bad God of the Universe is Tender and Mild"

This (peace offerings) seems to indicate that she "went through the motions" so to speak, of some "religion" of spme sort.
19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
This indicates that she is married to a "good" man, as she testifies with her own mouth here, yet she betrays her husband, this "good man" deliberately and abominably.
Despicable.

and store up my commands within you.

Hi,
All here, plus MusicalPligrim and Brinny, this is to you, and 'The Tishri1'; Fill The Earth, also means to move, and not do what upsets God, by not doing what He asks us to do.
Moving, today, will involve a request to Tishri1, to add Psalms, to Proverbs a day, as:
'A Proverb and Five Psalms a day'
(Since there are 150 Psalms and 31 Proverbs, Today's readings would be Proverbs 7, and Psalms 7, Psalms 14, Psalms 21, Psalms 28, and Psalms 35.)
This is the first day, I have tried that.

This is saying that this woman is essentially, a "predator", in that she "lies in wait" for the unsuspecting.
She sorta; "ambushes" them.
The rest of Proverbs gives a warning and the "armor" to not fall prey to any of her wiles, and the wise take heed.
