Jesus is not the original Greek or Aramaic pronunciation, so how can it save?

pgp, your first link says:

"Thus, there is no evidence that the Gospels were written originally in any other language but Greek."
I'm talking what language was Spoken.
His name was Spoken.

Also I see you still can't even get my name right, and it's written in English right in front of you. How can I ever trust you to get a name right that was translated through multiple languages ?

While it is possible that Jesus and some of his apostles knew and used Greek (at least on certain occasions), it is clear that their primary language of communication was Aramaic and, quite possibly, Hebrew as well. Here is the key evidence. - See more at:

Jason, there is only 1 name of the lord.

The Name is a) divinely bestowed and b) above all other names.

The Name is important.

Philippians 2:9-11, translated by NASB, says:

9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The New Testament provides many names for our Lord: the Word, the Way, the Truth, the Life; He is God, the Son of God, the Son of Man, the saviour, and so on.

However. Mary was told exactly what to name Jesus.

Mary didn't pick that out, nor did Joseph

I already mentioned both Greek and Aramaic in my first post.

"Jesus" is not close to either.
My point was in agreement with the Greek and Aramaic.

As far as the name 'Jesus' the angel told them what to name Him.

The words that it is translated into being for one the word we use and call 'Jesus', I think the Lord holds all language versions of His name holy.

Because God Himself separated people by language and knew the language translations way before hand.

Per Acts 4:12, there is only 1 name that can save. Jesus is not even close to the original Greek or Aramaic pronunciations.
Since every nation, tongue (language), and people will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, this is one of the most bizarre OPs to ever come on the scene.

This is a totally religious argument far removed from the Gospel of Truth and the freedom in Christ we have.
In Revelation 2, Jesus Tells us His name is "The Amen".
Egypt once knew Him by that name, and changed his glory into the image of the created things, as Paul writes about all nations, in Romans 1.
Jesus is also The Son of David; the Son of Man; The Everlasting Father [of second creation human being kind, as Christ come in flesh of new creation], and His name is "The Word of God", in Rev 19

The sounds that someone makes when they refer to you is not really your name, it just what you're called. Your name is about who you are, what you've done, what your character is, or what your reputation is.

Philippians 2:5-11 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The name is given in recognition of Christ has done and is not talking about referring to him in a different manner. If someone else happened to be called the same thing, their name still wouldn't be above other names because they haven't done what Christ has done.
