So Christ was bodily resurrected and then.... what do you think happened?
Well, I think that Jesus body was somehow becoming transformed to a spiritual body. For them to see His resurrection, they would have to have seen something that resembled Jesus, his face and features, but it was obviously not His earthly body.

As far as when He got to heaven, I'm not sure that Jesus would need a spiritual body in heaven.

There's a difference between a spiritual body and a spirit body. Jesus had a physical body after the resurrection.

But that's another topic.

So God was using anthropomorphic language to describe that we look like him?
No. He used anthropomorphisms to describe His attributes.

So God was using anthropomorphic language to describe that we look like him?

"In His Image" does not mean physically. It means to be like him in character. For instance, if someone says to you, "You're just like your father". They don't mean that you are his identical twin. They mean that you act like him. This is what being made in the image of God is.

There is a vast difference between understanding the Bible literally and understanding it literalistically. God the Father is not a physical being.

Strange things result when figurative language is forced to be literal. WORD to LDS interpreters.

Interpret Normally -- give every word the same meaning it would have in normal usage [writing, speaking & thinking]. Figures of speech and symbols should be obvious from the context.

Are you kidding here. There is only one verse I know of that says God is a spirit and so you literally believe it so.

So, you believe that everyone in heaven has human bodies, although we know that in outer space no one can survive without air and oxygen.

What do you believe? Your one liner's explain little.

This is a debate part of the forum and I don't think it was that bad. It was an animals bones in grass. I've seen that on National Geographic and science books.

It's generally considered good form to either hide that stuff behind spoiler tags or otherwise post a notice so that people can skip over it if they so desire.

^^^ Mormons do not equate Heavenly Mother and the Holy Spirit.

Mormons, do you see the woman of Revelation 12 as Heavenly Mother?

****Mormons do not equate Heavenly Mother and the Holy Spirit.****

I am confused then. I might be missing something here so forgive my stupidity but then if their idea of the Heavenly Mother is not the Holy Ghost then who is it

How does Heavenly Mom compare to the excellent woman of Proverbs 31? Which is the better example to women?

Well they aren't one and the same. The excellent mother and wife of proverbs 31 was meant as just that, an excellent earthly mother. I would say both are equal role models for us girls (as in my previous post I said there is biblical proof of a female Holy Ghost/Mother of Jesus Christ in heaven).
