Different songs though, surely?

That one is beautiful though. Cant help but sing along!

Yes they are entirely different songs with different titles, not like 'Patches' where 2 entirely different songs have the same name.

Neither something I'd suggest for a nursing home crowd, and the first is 1970 anyway. The second I like and with 62 as a release date would be eligible for the list.

My ears are smiling from the songs people have shared here. Thank you all. :) Please don't feel like the time frame needs to be rigidly followed when you're making song suggestions. Awesome music from the 1970s will be enjoyed just as much as if it were from the 60s. No one is going to look up a song's year of release when we perform it, or have their experience lessened if it's from a later year.
We do try to perform songs from the 1920s to the 1960s because studies on music therapy have shown that songs from someone's mid-childhood through early adulthood tend to evoke the most pleasant memories. Many of the residents were still relatively young in the 70s, 80s, and even in the 90s and have special memories attached to songs from those eras as well. The last time we were at a nursing home we took requests, and one was for Kyrie which is from the mid-80s. I happened to already know the song because I performed it with my church a couple of years ago. It was really a lovely experience to sing it for her. Her granddaughter is named Kyrie. :)

If you're unfamiliar with that song here's the cover we performed of it after our Easter services at the Hollywood Bowl. It was sort of spontaneous because the actual service had already ended and people were saying goodbye to one another. It was just incredibly fun. Singing it again for this sweet lady brought back wonderful memories for both of us.

Never heard that song from 1962 - it's pretty sweet! I like it.

Here is one that might be Ok. 1963 release.

I forgot about this song!! I used to love it. First heard it in a film and would listen to it all the time.

Gosh, it's hard for me to say. Having been around music all my life, I enjoy music from all eras and various styles. I mean, I just love music, period! I even seek out unusual stuff that may sound strange to some people, but for some reason I have tuned my ears to such tunes. What I might listen to at any given time depends on what I'm in the mood for.

I used to have a record when I was a kid (yes, I had records!) put out by K-Tel called Dumb Ditties, which was a compilation of comedy/novelty songs, and many of these songs were from the '50s and '60s. With a couple of exceptions, I liked nearly every song on that album, but some stood out more than others.

Here are three examples of their content that stand out to me right now:

I also had a few rare and sometimes low-budget recordings (I'm that nerdy!) as well as some albums of foreign/cultural music. It intrigued me then, and intrigues me now!

One I have been liking recently is called "No Moon at All." There are a few different versions out there, and vocally I like Doris Day's version:

But I like the orchestration better in the Ames Brothers version:

What is your favorite Elvis Presley song? This is mine. Or at least in my top 2-3 favorite songs by him.

Can't Help Falling in Love is my favorite Elvis song, though I love Ingrid Michealson's cover of it even more. You can hear it here in one of my favorite dances -

So with the time frame expanded a bit I thought of a few and of course they led me right back to songs in the time frame!

Playing YouTube roulette is interesting. Sometime one song leads to a great set, others to utter garbage.

So here is one from the timeframe, one from the 70s that I was sure was earlier and one that is still current and which you had better already know that I'm pretty sure predates the 1920s end!

Oh and I remember this last from my youth I'm positive the last line was different, I'm pretty sure it was 'So down with the dirty bear, the dirty bear has won his last.' The next to last line sounds like what was allowed in the 60s or late 50s, but I'm pretty sure we sang in as 'He's falling on his ass'.

Well since Elvis has been mentioned:

I know I looked this one up earlier and was very surprised how late it was and I thought it was outside to range, but it seems it was 1969. Perhaps the one I found before was a particular live performance.

I loved to hear Vaughn Monroe sing when I was a kid (a few years ago).
One of my favorites of his was "Ghost Riders in the Sky"
Its a good song, but off the beaten track.

Once when I came down with the flu, my wife had to take me to the ER, because I had spiked a bad fever, and I was having hallucinations of "riders" coming at me with drawn spears. I think it was left over from my young days because of this song. (I am not teasing)
