Of course... but that's going to take time, and the refugees need to be somewhere in the meantime. You can't rebuild your house while it's still on fire...

Really, if Obama isn't going to put boots on the ground to solve the issue of ISIS and all those that threaten the lives of Syrians in their homeland, including taking out Assad, then he shouldn't offer America as the landing place for fleeing Syrians he otherwise won't help to annihilate the enemy that threatens them.

Well, if they find living in some refugee camp intolerable, I would suppose that promises of free welfare benefits, free housing, free education for the kiddies, etc. might persuade them. This doesn't mean that they wouldn't prefer to live in the Middle East, as Carson reported, if they thought that there were a realistic chance of returning home in the near future.
