We have read the Old Testament, but Christianity has traditionally interpreted the Old Testament in light of the New Testament. I recommend that you try doing that.

You will have to excuse those who read the Skeptics annotated bible.

Not many non Christians these days understand Mosaic Israel was a theocracy. Since they don't teach the history of Christianity in public schools anymore, seculars have to rely on a fabricated liberal history.

But they all know Islam is a religion of peace. That's why they have so many apologists here including from Christians.

Ah Alternet. What a source.

They like to lump in any crazy white guy as a "Christian" terrorist.

Yes the AoG is a terrorist organization. Which churches support them outside their enclave? Westboro "Baptist" church?

You are really grasping at straws.

Face it the numbers don't add up.

Do you have a list of Muslim terrorist attacks? Check with the mods to see if they can expand the word count.

Speak for yourself sir. Why a Pagan comes to a Christian forum with such specious assertions is interesting to say the least.

Liberalism is ripe for Dhimmitude.

The bodies aren't even cold and all this silliness. Maybe we can wait for a few facts before all the shizzlenitz throwing. This isn't like Paris. That was pretty clear from the get go.

It wasn't clear. The reason that some don't want to take in Syrian refugees is because they were supposedly involved in the attacks in Paris, even though the EU said that all the suspects they had were European nationals, and not Syrian refugees. So it wasn't really all that clear, was it? If it had been, we wouldn't have blamed it on Syrian refugees and become hysterical about taking in Syrian refugees in this country.

Do I look like Google. If you want to post a list of Muslim terrorist attacks, you should find it yourself.

I highly recommend using a list that specifies the country in which the attack took place like in the list that I posted of anti-abortion violence. I'm not sure how many people have been killed by Muslim terrorist plots the USA in the last decade, but I suspect more people died by becoming tangled in their bedsheets.

809 people died in the US by becoming tangled in their bedsheets in 2008 according to the CDC.

You're scared of Muslim terrorists yet you're more likely to be murdered by your bedsheets.

Maybe the problem isn't Muslims or Christians.

Maybe the problem is extremism.
If someone's religion is about peace and love then extremism means being extremely loving and extremely peaceful. So extremism in itself is not the problem. The problem is when a religion or ideology is inherently violent. If we compare Muhammad to Jesus we see that the difference is like night and day. Muhammad was a ruthless warlord. His new religion was only peaceful before he began to gain power, then after it was battle after battle with the conquered being mercilessly put to death. By contrast, Jesus taught peace and even commands us to love our enemies. So the peaceful Muslims are the ones who don't follow the example of the founder of Islam. But Christians are peaceful when we follow the teachings of Jesus.

You've convinced me. The problem is Jews and Muslims. Extremism is extremely awesome. Let's round up and dispose of all those evil Jews and Muslims. They're super evil since they don't have Jesus or the new testament.

All I was asking is that you not be vague about it. "Yes" or "no" will do.
Sometimes the answer is "depends". Without an example of something I hypothetically said, it's impossible to be clearer.

Maybe the problem is extremism.

That is a logical entry argument.

If we were to explore such the results would be the same.

Measure the deaths due to Muslim extremists vs. Christian extremists.

That is measurable.

Are you seriously trying to argue that your brand of extremism kills fewer people than their brand of extremism?
