If you're using a book to approach the subject, just make sure you read it thoroughly first, so you know what it's going to be teaching your child. You want to make sure that any morality included is in line with what you, as a parent, believe.

This is, very strange. Why, would a parent, tell others, about this, when it is, so private? The girl, she would be, so humiliated, by this talk, on here.

I think you should've thrown the book in the trash also.

My counter to the author of the book would be to present evidence from the Bible of what a virgin was- a woman who has not slept with a man. Innocent boys have wet dreams and feelings of arousal can arise without provocation or during sleep. I hope the author did not make any money off of that book. My mother must've been quite progressive in her thinking despite being raised in a strong, Christian home, born in 35. She was a nurse, so maybe that had something to do with it. She and my dad apparently enjoyed themselves immensely starting after marriage and then until my dad was nearing death, so her warped thinking did not harm her marriage relationship.

Some people go absolutely ballistic over this issue. Did you know that there were HUNDREDS of anti-masturbation devices patented in the mid and late 1800s? That Corn Flakes and Graham Crackers (from devout Adventists Dr Kellogg and Dr Graham) were invented to diminish the libido to reduce/eliminate masturbating?

By "her," do you mean the mom or the daughter?

And I think the mom's issue was not "safe sex vs toy-based solo sex" - but she was freaked that there was any sex at all. Her daughter was not supposed to have those feelings; and even if she did, she was not supposed to respond to them in any way.

Who ever is the teenager, I mean schools do weird stuff.
I know a friend of mine got in trouble then they brought a condom home the first day of 9th grade.
School probably gave it to all the kids.

Also Schools teach Safe Sex it's the way it is.
Maybe parents should think about signing the waiver I don't want the school teaching my kid on sex.

I can hardly imagine that poor girl's embarrassment if she found out mom, dad, and dad's male friend all knew about that.

Had I been the OP, I would have suggested putting the item back in the drawer exactly how you found it; getting a small bottle of KY Intense and putting it in the drawer next to the vibe.
