Arguing in favour of accepting refugees =/= making fun of deaths by terror.

Sure, it's *possible* that a tiny percentage of a fraction of refugees may try to enter a country under false pretences, with the actual intent of carrying out terrorist acts. But does that mean we shouldn't show basic compassion and hospitality to the others? And yeah, given how difficult it may be to tell the one from the other, we might (inadvertently) be showing compassion and hospitality to the would-be terrorists as well. Not sure how that would be a bad thing.

its never a bad thing to show compassion to any person and it might have an effect on them and it costs nothing to show compassion and love to people but that does not mean we should practice foolishness and be nieve whats wrong with making sure they are really terrorists ? yes its a process but i think its better to be safe than sorry . we should allow in refugees you dont know if they are refugees or just immigrants wanting to use the refugee migration to come to europe each country has to consider its own welfare for its own people and make a calculated decision based on the current population

It is the simplest thing to carry the name of Christian, but the test of discipleship is to carry the cross of Christ.
In the eyes of God the Syrian refugees flee from a greater threat than Isis terrorists and they are in need of more than shelter and food. They flee from the spiritual damnation of the unforgiven, and they need the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Jesus was very clear when he said 'I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves'. Shall we now lay down the cross for fear of wolves? Can we ignore their plight for fear of an enemy that may be among them? The enemies of Jesus were among those who came to him for help yet he received them exposing himself to those who killed him. Thus did he secure eternal life for us "who through fear of death were all our lifetime subject to bondage" (Heb 2:15)
Shall we accept the salvation purchased with suffering and death then demand that we never be exposed to even the threat of the same for his sake? If we dare deem anyone undeserving of Christ then it is we who are undeserving of Christ in the eyes of God.

First off nobody "deserves" Christ, I don't know where you got that idea from certainly not from the bible we are ALL sinners if we "deserved" Christ we wouldn't need him as a savior to begin with. Secondly Christians aren't required to take people in among them in order to "get them saved" until they are Christians they aren't a part of our group and we cannot treat them the same as fellow believers. We are to love them but we aren't required to take them to raise as neighbors hoping that kindness will convince them to be saved. The problem is that Islam has a more powerful grip upon its adherents than Christianity while Christians are bonded together by love it often takes a lot to get through to people who are bonded together by fear which affects those of Islam. Even in the states muslim refugees will be ostracized, castigated, even beaten and possibly killed perhaps for abandoning their faith. Essentially Islam itself is hostile to other religions by default. To take in a group that for the most part will keep their beliefs very few converting to another belief (Christianity) and that is the source of "wolves" is to say to fellow believers we must take wolves into our midst because it is unloving to do so, those who harbor wolves in their midst out of fear are IMO not to be trusted and their book is the source of wolves the only true way to be rid of wolves is to either be rid of the book or rid of those who believe in it so that the books power over creating wolves is no more.

One could think the Gospel is the cure for Islam when in fact it has been out there for thousands of years and Islam isn't cured. Sadly I believe that in order to truly "save" muslims they have to be totally removed from any source of it and TAUGHT, no.. indoctrinated AGAINST believing it such that any power that Islam has is negated. As long as the Koran exists and people found their belief on it wolves will arise from it, and violence will result. Education is a cure in part but sadly the US isn't going to "teach" the truth about Islam in schools they want to "teach" in a limited fashion the "romantic" parts of it instead. It is like having kids pet a tame tiger in a zoo and then letting them loose in the jungle with tigers that aren't tame and them not knowing the truth and thinking they won't be killed by one. With luck they won't cross paths with a bold tiger but sooner or later if more tigers are brought into the jungle their chances will increase.

You could simplify this by simply chanting "Islam delenda est."

Perhaps so as I don't see any way with the "correctness" today in politics and the courts and such that anyone in power wants to make a hard choice to deal with Islam in a manner that would put it in a bad light. Instead they "hope" that Muslims won't use Muhammed's own examples of violence as a way of doing things to me that is a foolish choice to ignore it all.

Indeed -- let's look at Muhammed's own examples of violence:

"Permission to fight is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged… Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly only because they said, ‘Our Lord is God’ — And if God did not repel some men by means of others, there would surely have been pulled down temples and churches and synagogues and mosques..." (22:40-41)

Sadly, Islam suffers from the same problem that Christianity does: Too many people who find the rules politically inconvenient...

You will note that my post is addressed to American Christians and did not include the words: Muslim or Islam. The reason
being the bible does not specify any race or religion in it's instruction on how to live the life I now have in Christ. Succinctly put that is to love God and fellow man as oneself and this to be accomplished in a hostile world.
Jesus describes this hostile element as 'wolves'. But his focus, his concern and his commandment to love is not about the wolves but the sheep i.e the poor the helpless, the unsaved. The refugees are sheep; as a Christian the spirit of God in us has compassion for the sheep if indeed we are saved. "for as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God'; ..and if any man draw back he is none of His" There may be wolves among the sheep, wolves transcend every religious, ethnic and political distinction we have come up with. We are to neither fear nor hate them; those emotions poison your spirit and can lead you to dark places as is evidenced by your reference to getting rid of the book and those who believe in it.

LOL. We are not commanded to love the enemies of Jesus, we are commanded to kill them (in Luke 19:27).
