lol Up to you, brother. lol

Well, I would, ...... but..... I don't think I could get past her undoubted obsession with chasing after Moose and Squirrel...... ^_^

Of course it wouldn't help that Id ask her to put "Moose and Squirrel" in her vows. :sorry:

Russian or Ukrainian? I actually dated a Ukrainian woman about 17 years ago. She lived just outside of Atlanta. Never could get used to her speaking Ukrainian. It seems to be a language based on phlegm, like Welsh. Even though I was only 30 at the time, people kept asking me if she was my daughter. She was only 4'10".

Well, TBH, Id be thrown either way. Im used to dating women that speak Spanish...... not something I once saw in Rocky IV, Red Dawn or Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. ^_^

That means he was married at the age of 68. So, between the ages of 18 and 68, he tried to find a good, quality woman...and couldn't.

So there are no good quality women in the US? Okay. lol

What an insulting thought.

... and this is exactly why I've given the dating scene entirely to God. For years I've tried to find a suitable guy, even though I was against marriage and what the world holds it as (glorified dating). I think it's important (for some of us anyway) to note that we are living in such times. Perhaps this is something we should let go and let God.

That's just my opinion.

That didn't have multiple marriages behind them?
That didn't have mooching adult children?
That werent related by blood to him?
And lived within his area?

Absolutely not. There were none...for him.

I think you have a good start. :ahah:

Of course I do. Im a bull, everything I do has a running head start. :p

I agree, its not that good women don't exist.... its just the further down the toilet society spins the harder it is to find those good people. Add in other factors such as attraction and that "spark"... finding a good person with that.... becomes that much more daunting of a task.

I honestly can't say that a woman willing to sell herself for a greencard (or whatever is in it for them) is any more moral than a woman that has past........ but to each their own. It's not my place to judge. If someone believes they found a good moral person through such methods..... more power to them. Im certainly in no position to throw stones.

We all have our motives and we all do things because there is something in it for us..... there is nothing wrong with that. It is motive that makes most actions good or bad. Nobody is truly selfless. Even the most saintly of person only does good cause "it makes them feel good to help others."

I'm sorry but we were talking about HIV and then you switch to all STDs. That's shifty. You're also misrepresenting the fact a bit there, since the NY Dept of Health says 1 in 4 AMERICANS. That's men and women both.

Here's the source right here: https://www.health.ny.gov/publications/9111.pdf

I go by what the CDC states.

Also, in 2013, 110 million Americans were infected by STDs. In 2015, there was a more than 2% increase in reported STDs over 2014. It also states that there is a disproportionate increase among women.

That's amazing. Where the heck does he live? When you say "his area," are there 10 people living within that radius?

I mean, I suppose it's better for those few men to look elsewhere rather than having them trying to force first world women to conform. Maybe. o_O Makes you wonder why they don't just move there, though. It seems they want the best of both worlds. They want a certain type of woman without having to deal with the societal problems that go along with forcing all women into that mold.

:cheer:

it's time for a cheer!

Marriage isn't that important to me to put forth that much effort even if I felt that way. lol Or, I'd take a look at myself as to why I couldn't meet anyone decent and high quality, within a 1000 mile radius. :p

Where does he live? In a tiny little town in east Tennessee. Our family has lived there for more than 120 years. We are also related to 75% of the town. This town is in a very large county, but with a very small population. Of the remaining 25%, most women are married. Those few who were left, only totaled about 20-30 women. Of those, most had had multiple marriages. He lived 7 miles from town. The town numbered about 600-700 people. The county seat was 14 miles away, and even there, he was related to most people there through blood. My family moved to the region more than 250 years ago.

At the time I lived there, many years ago, the phone book was less than 1/4 inch thick. Half of it was yellow pages. Where he lived, there wasn't even cable tv. Electricity had only been available on the road on which he lived since the early/mid 1960's and he has lived there all his life.

As for why he didn't move to where his wife is from. That's simple. He wasn't allowed to own property there.
