I have told this person about my church discovery and she does not respond when she "whines" on facebook. It's not that I don't feel, but I know enough from the bible and about God that our way to victory is based on what He has done and what we are SAYING about it. But I know it's her choice. If I suggest "have faith" "God is with you" etc. that does not seem to have the impact of "oh you poooorr thing, I love you" etc

Could it be better to express sympathy with worship of God together?

Janny108 Good word,
Righteousness comes from belief and salvation comes from confession. Romans 10:9,10

If salvation comes from confession, all that we have in Christ comes from confession because we are to walk the same way we got saved. Colossians 2:6

If only God's people would really understand your part in bold. Most of the Church is still "trying to get" what's already been done by the finished works of the cross. Everything that we need from God is already "on the table" and waiting to be received by exercising our (faith). In healing for example... we don't "try to get" healed. We acknowledge this by the "renewing of our minds" (Romans 12:2), that "we were healed." (1 Peter 2:24), and we receive "at the time"... When? The moment we apply our faith and believe... even if symptoms remain...

What do we do now to fight worry, doubt or unbelief?

We are to...

- "Fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12)... which is to stand and Only Believe. "I believe I receive when I pray" (Mark 11:24).

- "Enter into His Rest" (Hebrews 4:10). And not just enter... but to "diligently" enter into His Rest" (Hebrews 4:11).

Be Blessed to be a BLESSING... 00002866[1].gif

The world would make a conclusion that you were completely defeated ,if someone asked how is this going?
Your reply I'm walking in faith; their reply : oh it's that bad sorry to here that.

The world relies on what they can see, those of us in Christ rely on what we know.

What ever the circumstances Christians have the Word of God to stand on ,when walking by faith not by sight we have a much better promise.
The world can be deceived by being blinded from what is evident to those of us abiding in God's Word.

John: 15. 5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

janny108, I understand what you're saying. If your response had been to see a therapist, medical doctor, then they would have probably accepted what you said.

It's great that you give her G_dly advice. Sometimes it's in the presentation - what I mean is making a connection to their struggle first usually helps. Sometimes repeating someone's words makes that connection and they listen better when they decide that you understand where they're coming from. This is evident when couples communicate. He'll give the solution sometimes without even listening or giving any indication that he understands the "whole" problem. Of course, we begin at square 1 and go through the entire maze/story. hehehe Also, sometimes it helps getting on their physical level - this really helps with children. imo, they're more apt to accept your advice after that connection is made.
