Personally, I've rather enjoyed watching Webb...he's been cracking me up when he calls out Anderson for not giving equal time.

The "Hopefully you'll give me that same amount of time, you let her go on for 5 minutes" line had me rolling lol.

I feel like this has been the Hillary/Sanders debate and the other guys are getting boxed out for the most part. It'll be interesting to see the talk time tallies at the end of this one. I don't think Cooper has been doing a very good job of giving equal time.

Bernie Sanders is the guy who yelled at you for cutting through his yard when you were 15.

lol.

If the field were cut to three right now on the Democrat side, it'd be Sanders, Hillary, and Webb at this point. I was impressed that Webb injected himself when it was apparent that all of the discussions were centered around Clinton and Sanders...those other two guys sat idly by for the most part and allowed themselves to be ignored.

Like I mentioned in the previous post, I'll be interested to see when the official time breakdowns get released, from my vantage point, it seemed like Sanders and Hillary got double the talking time of the rest of the field.

After hearing Webb talk about some of the issues, I suspect he'll end up being too moderate for the liking of the DNC.

I like that Anderson Cooper didn't pull any punches - he asked the candidates tough questions and didn't tolerate it when they tried to avoid the question.

He was okay in that regard...however, he dropped the ball in terms of guaranteeing equal time among the participants I feel...

NPR just released the talk time numbers that I was hoping for earlier:
Clinton: 30 min 25 sec
Sanders: 27 min 41 sec
O'Malley: 17 min 08 sec
Webb: 15 min 20 sec
Chafee: 9 min 05 sec

I guess my ballpark estimate of "Hillary and sanders got double the time" didn't miss the mark by too much ;)

To me, if each person is supposed to be under equal time constraints, >30 for one person, and <10 for another is an unacceptable outcome.

If you look at how that compared to the (R) debate:
Trump: 18:47
Bush: 15:48
Fiorina: 13:30
Carson: 12:56
Christie: 12:36
Rubio: 11:21
Cruz: 10:45
Paul: 10:28
Kasich: 9:44
Huckabee: 9:20
Walker: 8:29

It seems as if the republican debate moderator did a little better of a job in that aspect (still not great, but better...especially considering that that moderator had Trump to content with lol)

...I'm watching the wrap up show now...and it appears as if all of the focus is on Hillary & Sanders (and for some reason Joe B even though he wasn't there). Even though I'm not a democrat, I think they're missing the boat in terms of not putting more focus on Webb. While he might be 'too moderate' and 'too laid back on gun control' for the DNC's liking...in terms of the actual voters, I think Webb would actually be able to steal some votes from the republican side if he were up there against a Jeb Bush or a Trump.

Overall, they sounded like mature adults as compared to the Trump led circus. Some differences were highlighted by the candidates in a respectful manner...without the name calling...(aside from one crack at Donald Trump)

Clinton: Pulled the "first woman President" card one too many times, but probably didn't hurt herself. Her efforts to co-opt Sanders' conviction on a couple of issues fell flat.
Sanders: Says like it is....and he doesn't care what label you give him (...but as the arch enemy of energy companies, big banks and big pharma....he will need millions of $30 dollar donors.)
O'Malley: Made his views known, including where he differed from Clinton....may pick up some support
Webb: the most grounded of the candidates and not given to political hyperbole
Chafe: Yes, you were right to vote against the Iraq War....but what else do you got?

Not only that, he said ONLY black lives matter. He is weak and inept. Practically inconsequential. I do not understand his followers here.

I thought he said "black lives matter", no "only" in there.

In case you didn't notice, the last debate was about how Trump said this or that and candidates were allowed to respond.

You guys do realize that all these people are very rich and could not care less about you? All they care about is your vote, everything they say is pretty much a lie. 9 out 10 things they promise during the campaign will never happen:)
I have more net worth than Sanders, so he's not rich.

Clearly you don't understand what "black lives matter" is about or what the statement means. Black lives matter doesn't mean other lives don't matter. It is a way of bringing attention to something African Americans feel is a big problem in America. To say "all lives matter" is to ignore the specific issue they are bringing up. And if you didn't notice, they all said "black lives matter". Meaning the democrats in the running for president at least understand the movement enough to say the phrase and acknowledge the problem.

Well, I shall try to help you understand why I am a Bernie Sanders supporter :)
He is for getting money out of politics and he does NOT take super pac money so he will owe no special favors :)
He is against Keystone and so am I :)
He is against TPP and so am I :)
He is against any cuts to social security and veterans benefits and I am, too :)
He is for raising the min wage which I am also for :)
He has a very long record to prove he does what he says so I have no worries about him flip flopping or saying something just to get votes like others do :)

As far as what he said about black lives matters (and I am not black) I understand what he said and why he said it even though I believe all lives matter I still understand what he was trying to get across.

No one can fight for as many years as he has for the middle class, seniors, veterans, and the poor and be weak!

That's because the CNN team wanted to turn all the Republican candidates against each other.

If I were a candidate and was approached by BLM for support I would say, "Sure, if you put the slogan on both sides of the sign". :D

Thats great! You think Sanders has a realistic chance of winning?
After this last debate, its pretty much between him and Hillary. The other 3 were ignored and 2 of them sat there and took it. Clinton came out on top it seems, but considering how little air time Sanders has had, he's likely to make large gains, primarily from undecided, Biden, and lesser candidate supporters.

Basically the night knocked out anyone but Clinton and Sanders, barring a Biden bid, but him missing out on this will have hurt him massively.
