“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual FERVENT PRAYER of a righteous man availeth much.”—James 5:16

As the signs of the end-time is presently unfolding at a warp speed, I sense a clarion call from the Lord to his body (The Church) for a deeper level of fellowship with him in the place of prayers.

As the scriptures says, the wicked are already doing more wickedly. The love of many are already waxing cold. People-including supposed Christians- are getting more worldly and sensual by the day…

And with all these, the end-time is drawing nearer and nearer. And just as our Lord Jesus admonished, we should pray, so we can be counted worthy of escaping the tribulations of these times (Luke 21:36).

The saint whose garment will remain unspotted by the current pollution in this world, is the one who persistently travail in the place of prayers. The saint who will remain uncompromising to the original standard of faith as entrenched in the scriptures-amidst these modern day gospels-is the one who will dedicate ample time in the closet of prayers.

The Christian, whose faith will not be pushed to agnostism by the hordes of hell, and human agents, is the one who will pray without ceasing as the scriptures admonish.

The groups of believers that will usher in the next move of the Holy Spirit- that will culminate in an unusual salvation of the heathen; and revival of holiness in the body of Christ, are the ones who will make it an occupation in asking God to do so (Psalms 1:8).

The saint who wants to see God confirm his words with unusual manifestation of signs and wonders, is the one who will go right into the deeper part of the holies of holies- through importunate prayers in the spirit. Especially praying extensively in other tongues.

Well, for the folks who disbelieve praying in other tongues, I just have to say, “Bless their hearts”. And I earnestly pray that God help them to believe. Because, the one who will keep arguing against this spiritually potent gift for fervent prayers in this end-time, will be greatly disadvantaged.

They will only scratch the surface of the holies of holies in the place of prayers. Praying only with the intellect will only get them so far in the realms of the spirit.

To these beloved brethren, I plead from a passionate heart of love that they should come out of the cocoon of religion and blinded arguments and desire to speak with other tongues. Because it is very needful and advantageous in the current demand of the Almighty in the place of prayers.

And that was why the Apostle Paul thanked God he spoke in tongues more than everyone else (1 Corinthians 14:18). Not to take advantage of this awesome gift of prayer (speaking in tongues) is to be leaving allots of blessing on the table (both spiritual and physical).

Not to take advantage of this gift of prayer, is to leave allots of battles unwon.

So my brethren, get to intensive prayers. No more 5minutes rattling of prayers in the Morning and before going to bed (Plus God, minus devil- amen). Spend quality time (at least an hour) in prayers daily- especially praying in the Holy Ghost (in tongues) and watch your victories and testimonies compound.

Let’s obey one of the easiest and most important command of scriptures-“Ask of me”; “Pray without ceasing”. And the more we do, the more we have life more abundantly.

For those of you, struggling with the spirit of slumber, I decree your deliverance right now. I also decree the outpouring on you, the spirit of grace and supplication, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!

I have not received the gift of speaking other tongues yet. I don't know if it will ever come but I know I've done almost all I can to receive it. The only thing I have left to do is have someone lay hands on me and pray with me but it's hard to find a church that believes in doing that. Anyway, I agree with what you're saying. It's game time. Jesus bless.

According to the Pentecost, speaking in tongues, is actually speaking in a foreign language you never learned to speak but you suddenly were able to speak fluently and spontaneously like a native speaker.

This means, if you speak in tongues (or gibberish), and nobody understood what you're saying, then it's worthless.

The original disciples rarely spoke in tongues....This is something that Apostle Paul did not understand since he is a Pharisee (He never denied the fact) and as typical of Pharisees, conceited in their work.

You cannot manipulate the Holy Ghost......However, evil spirits who are glad to pretend as your manipulable Holy Ghost are on standby to fulfill one's conceited desires and manipulations... ;)

Don't worry Tony, If you can't "speak in tongues", it doesn't make you any less a Christian! ;)

Also, if you're praying fervently because you think the end times are unfolding, it's way too late for you....

You should pray fervently even if it's not the end times... Otherwise, you are praying with other reasons than just Loving God because the end times convinced you to pray fervently...

Lastly, victories are not won this time. This time is not yet... This time is for growth and purification....

....Any of you who doesn't believe me you better make sure you clean your houses, cars, everything you own, keep them in top condition because they will be our inheritance!

Tony, You mean there are no Pentecostal Churches around your neighborhood, or your country? Well, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in Tongues is by Faith. You can easily ask the Lord Jesus to fill you with the Holy Ghost. And as you ask, you should just believe you've been filled, then open your mouth wide to speak, and He(The Holy Spirit) will fill it, with heavenly languages. Its that easy.

But all the same, do not let the simplicity and its seemingly, foolishness fool you. Cos God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.

The bible admonishes us not to forbid speaking in other tongues. Please, press more and more until you grab this incredibly effective prayer gift.

I was Pentecostal denomination for 20 years. All of you said here, I did before.

I never gave up until now.

And I don't think I'm losing on anything.... Only EXCEPTIONALLY FEW Christians could actually speak in tongues, in a clear foreign language they never studied, yet fluently delivered (as what was written in the Bible in the Pentecost). Most Christians who think they do are only speaking gibberish (and this is VERY unscriptural) and I doubt the Holy Ghost is on them but a counterfeit spirit.

There are some things you cannot force on your terms and to do so is a form of manipulation, and not faith. Manipulation is the way of Sorcerers and we are not supposed to work like they do!

Can you even test a spirit before it begins to take control of you?? Most Christians in these sessions don't even bother and thinks you cannot directly communicate with spirits.

Take Care guys, recklessness does not equate to faith!

My dear, evil spirits doesn't make people to live right. Haven't you discovered that some of the most right living folks are the Pentecostal tongue speakers?

I for one, by the special grace of God, I live above sin. And of course, you'll agree with me that righteousness is supposed to be the ultimate test of the Holy Spirit.
On the other hand, I have seen many a folk who argue blindly against speaking in other tongues swim in sin. Between the two groups who do you think has the right thing?

Quite frankly, I believe you need prayers, cos at the rate you're going, you may be heading towards agnosticism.

Why did you leave your first, better estate of Pentecostalism?

Well, I believe God still loves you so much. Cheers!

Has there ever been a time in the last couple thousand years when people did not believe the signs of the end-time was presently unfolding quickly?
Yes they still believe, but there is a clarion call to prayer now. Because the signs are already getting more and more critical and the only way to still remain in the faith, is fervent prayers. Cheers!

So there was not a clarion call to prayer over the last 2000 years, it's just now, or there has always been this call?

Did the signs not appear to be critical in the past?

Will those who do not engage in fervent prayer fall from faith? Should fervent be defined so Christians will know how and how much prayer will be enough?

Yes, there was a clarion call then, and few answered, while so many paid lip service to it. And even today, so few are answering this call as well, while so many as well, are still treating prayers with levity. Hence, this revival call.

Yes, the signs were critical then, but they are more critical now.

Yes, the one who is lackadaisical with prayers in these times, is likely to fall from the faith, as the devil and his cohorts, are getting more and more fierce in their strategies and attacks of faith. And it only takes fervent prayer to remain resilient to their fiery darts.

Fervency is defined as a prayer that is done with the spirit and in the Spirit. Fervency is praying heartily. Fervency is praying to get God's hears to answer. Fervency is praying until you get into the holies of holies and experience the atmosphere of heaven here on earth.

Fervency is being importunate until there is a result to show for the prayers. To this end, Jesus says, men ought always to pray and not faint. The Bible says, pray without ceasing. To be fervent, we must pray like the syrophoenician woman, who will not take no for an answer.
These and many more are the definition of fervent.

Why did you leave your first, better estate of Pentecostalism?

I've only seen one who actually spoke in tongues and only one time in my whole 20 years! The rest I've seen only spoke repetitive gibberish.

CAUTION: Real speaking in tongues:

Acts 2:6
When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.

If you never did such thing, then you never have spoken in "other" tongues (Acts 2:4). If you think you did, then an evil spirit may have possessed you! :o

We pray fervently as a sign of humility even if the end of the world is still far.

I never prayed to be plucked out of tribulation. Sounds a little selfish IMO and Revelations does keep saying the children of God must go through the fire for their purification.

A slag will always be a slag no matter how many times they undergo fire. But gold is purified by fire....What doesn't kill a child of God only makes them better.....What the children of God should actually say is "BRING IT ON!!":oldthumbsup:

With all these your points of view, you've just confirmed to me more, that you need serious prayers as I said before. And I'll help you do just that in my personal prayer time.

God still loves you.

Thanks for your well meaning. But I don't think I got it wrong, I know what I have read about the Pentecost and the author clearly stated his thoughts regarding the matter.
