I wonder, was the twirly spire in Chesterfield built by design? or did it partly collapse or something?
The wood warped causing it to twist.
Anyway,I guess it's a local tourist attraction now. Kind of, Do Chatsworth, the Peaks and Chesterfield's twisted spire in a day...

Wow, this is great that you can do it free. My wife and I have been to a number of Parks Canada site, which is a similar thing over here. We went to Woodside in Ontario,which was the boyhood home of long-serving Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King.
