Is Judgement for unbelievers going to be a public affair, or will it be private? Will even my thoughts and actions be revealed to everyone no matter how humiliating? I would like to think it would be private and God would give some amount of dignity, but certain verses in bible do say God reveals there nakedness and shame when Judgement comes.

Unbelievers will be judged by Christ at the Great White Throne.
Believers will be judged at another time at a place called The Judgment Seat of Christ.

I have always believed the final judgment will be a public affair.

Revelations 20:11-12
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

Not trying to start any controversy here with my cyber family but I used to think (bible school days)
that the book of Revelations was all about future events. Until a fear took over me, when I started thinking that the
rapture had occurred and I was 'left behind'. This happened over and over again. This was fear (false expectation appearing as real) and it would
continually bring me into a near panic state.

But think, what does "fear" have to do with "LOVE" as the scripture asks?
In fact "complete (perfect) love casts out ALL fear". 1 John 4:18
And why do the Angels and scriptures constantly say "fear not" (365 times in the Bible)….why would this seemingly part of scripture (end times /rapture) bring me soooooooo much fear??

Then the SPIRIT quickened this in me….the very first words of the last book. "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place." Revelation 1:1

It is a Revelation of JESUS CHRIST ---- it reveals JESUS to us.
And it also shows his servants (the folks John was writing to) " which must soon (right away in the original) take place".

Its not revelations (plural) of end times.
It is Revelation of a person - the LORD JESUS CHRIST Himself!

Now, I thought, (even after taking all this in Bible School on my way to being a possible pastor) is this :"If my structure or basic understanding of this book is off (or not correct) then it is quiet possible that my entire understanding of this book is off".

There is more to it, and it has to be understood through the lens of GRACE to see it more for what it really is.

Fair enough. What do you believe is the purpose for having it publicly? Is it to make a spectical of the enemies of God before they are punished?

Nothing will be hidden. Being obedient means one read the word of God and act on what they've read.

Note: 1 Corinthians 4:5 is the Bema Seat of Christ, not the Great White Throne. It's why there are praises. Disciples will be rewarded.

Note: Romans 2:13-16 was written by Paul. Paul said you got to be a doer, not just a listener.

Romans 2:13-16 NKJV
13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NKJV
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.

14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.

1 Corinthians 4:5 GNT So you should not pass judgment on anyone before the right time comes. Final judgment must wait until the Lord comes; he will bring to light the dark secrets and expose the hidden purposes of people's minds. And then all will receive from God the praise they deserve.

Luke 8:16-18 NIV
16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. 18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

====================================

Follow Jesus means to do the things He did. Follow His examples. Jesus told us to be doers when He said take up the cross daily and follow Me. Anyone who refuses to follow Him, will be deny (Matthew 10:38, Luke 13:27, Matthew 7:23, Matthew 25:41). Only when one follows Him, will their sins be forgiven. This is what His death on the cross was for, His followers: the doers --- not the listeners -- of His commandements.

Christians must be doers in order to overcome the world. Christians cannot overcome by merely recognizing Christ as the Son of God.

His death on the cross for our salvation only applies to those who's willing to follow His examples, not those that recognises Him as the Messiah.

Believing in Jesus means one trust what Jesus instructed us to do in the bible to be true, having faith in His commandments to be the only way to salvation above all other religions or beliefs that can save us. It means stepping out in faith trusting what He told us to do --- not wait in faith --- by following His examples.

No one will enter heaven that's not a doer, as he must do more good deeds than scribes and pharisees. (Matthew 5:20).

James 1:21-25 NKJV
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Matthew 10:38-39 NKJV
38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

1 Corinthians 1:11 NIV Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

1 Peter 2:21 NIV To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Matthew 5:20 ESV
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

.
You got until 2018 until the tribulation begins to follow Him. Trust me on this, I got a crystal ball. :D Too bad it won't give me the day and hour. :(
