Hi hi!

My name's Rhydian, I'm a senior at a liberal Midwestern university, and Jesus is moving here like CRAZY. I started writing about it because (a) Gospel, and (b) I'm taking a web marketing class.

Problem: I need a perspective bigger than my Iowa bubble. What campus ministries, trends, theology, etc. do you see as impacting outside the Midwest? How do you see Jesus working in ways that should be talked about? Like I said, I'm a student and I'm learning -- what can I do to beef up this website? http://ids.uni.edu/campuschripsters/

Feedback would be the biggest blesing!

I have not seen any miracles or movements on my campus but that is because sadly my campus does not allow God to be spoken about (given exception of my amazing English teacher) anyway I have noticed Jesus working for me in college. I was dead set I am going to BGSU for my pre vetrinarian degree but, somehow I got directed to University of Findlay and I am now at a community college working toward transfering to Findlay. I believe everything happens for a reason and I do not think it was just "sheer luck" that I came across Findlay when I had specifically typed in BGSU in the search engine and all of the pieces just fit together. It was like God was telling me there is a university better than the one I'm currently searching.

Keep feeding on the Word! whether or not your course has Christian content, it's good to be settled in your own mind from the Scriptures about what you believe.

The site is very aesthetically appealing and has a welcoming vibe. I think it might be useful to have more information specific for your campus at the top or on the sidebar so it's quickly accessible for visitors. If you organize events on campus, then having a calendar with all information about them that's immediately noticeable would be helpful. You could also provide links to campus Christian organizations, to local churches, and perhaps to resources such as Bible Gateway, and fun sites like Project Inspired (which has a forum for college age girls).

This is the site for the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at my campus: http://www.ivstanford.org/
What I love the most about it is that there are small groups you can join that meet in your dorm. It's really a lovely way to get connected to a supportive and intimate group of Christians and build up friendships. We also have weekly meetings where the whole group gets together, as well as outings and special events like symposiums. They provide information for how to get rides to local churches for Sunday services, too.

Good luck! It's definitely a great start. :)

How can they forbid you from talking about Christ? I mean what can they do if you pray over your food and mention Jesus Christ to people?
