I always find it weird what a transition takes place when I live in this 'removed from Him reality' or what I know to be the spirit of this world, or in His awareness when He dwells close by and counsel and delights me with His presence. Strange how I can have life in light and in darkness, and very sobering to know that God will require an account of both sides in me.
I for one, am not going to mourn any goats in me, where darkness is what my spirit brings forth, rather than creating light. Oppressing, imprisoning, deceiving, and even killing the sheep in me, bringing judgement upon themselves and upon me.
I love it when the word comes and cuts me down and turns things upside down and sets me free again from my enemies.
Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Isn't it striking that spiritually this process happens a lot of times throughout our walk of life? Each individual sin Jesus has cleansed in me had goats as well as sheep present within me - in some spirituality I was punished and in some spirituality I received my promised allotment.
Daniel 12:1-3 explains it nicely as well focussing on the resurrection of the dead (also true within us spiritually.)
“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Well have you ever met the truth inside a part of you that was stuck with lies and you were suffering the wicked and then the truth came and set you free? That is when the resurrection of the dead can be affirmed and the freeing of the prisoners beheld - amazing how bright His light shines in the hearts of those who have known the bad side of darkness and have been liberated by Christ.
Isn't it a miracle? For years I suffered the wicked but now He has lifted me up above my enemies and even when suffering is bad they have not regained their thrones of rule within me. Cut off and in chains they await the final judgement, while I walk free glorifying Jesus! The power of His Word is beyond comprehension and His love and compassion over me is better than life.
Are you stuck with a life of darkness and suffer the wicked. Please read the bible personally with a believing, loving and hoping heart and the rider on the white horse will certainly come and set you free. Revelation 19
Have a look how God explains that process to the prophet Ezekiel!
Ezekiel 37:1-14
The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”
Aren't the promises of God's Word awesome? When we have faith in His truth and walk n His love then we can be assured that His Spirit will revive us, making us stronger than depression can bring to bear and setting us free from our constrains
I know that depression can be very bad, but in His truth suffering bad life qualifies us as inheritors of His good life. Like Jesus says in the sermon of the mount blessed are those who mourn, blessed are those who are poor of spirit, blessed are those who are persecuted because they stand up for what is right. Suffering depression is all about things like that.
So battle on dear suffers and put your faith in God's love and see that the light will erase the darkness and set you free spiritually no matter how ill you might be physically, spiritually you shall flourish.
Be of very good courage for this is what Jesus promises to those who find life in His truth.
Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
