Can anyone tell me what wrong steps other religious people are taking? It seems obvious that all the other religious people of the world are taking the exact same steps Christians do. They trust what their parents tell them about their god and unquestionably retain this information throughout adulthood. They trust that the miracles and events their ancestors witnessed, wrote about, and passed down in their book were correct. I have trouble understanding how their method is faulty when your God requires the same steps for a belief in him.

Yes....they are just practicing religion. And religion doesn't get you to God. It takes a deep trust faith relationship with Jesus that he died for all your many sins and by resurrecting from the dead he proved his finished work on calvary and gives you a deposit on heaven. Other religions are trying to earn their way to heaven by doing works, deeds, nice things, giving to charity, etcl.... but im afraid they all fail in Gods eyes. The way to heaven is Gods way , and that is thru his Son only. That's why God sent him. Are you going ????

Christianity is based on certain claims about Jesus that have evidence for them. To start, I'd recommend that you whittle out the faith traditions that do not have equal or better evidence for their cornerstone beliefs. Which ones are left after that? Then we can whittle that list down further.

I don't think it is "afraid" we all have gifts and not everyone gift is gabby and wordy . and it takes a
word type of person to enjoy or even value this kind of communication on these sites . and that ain't me
it took me 10 year to learn to type my fingers don't move well. and I don't see well.
but he told me to do some things so I tried . I think I failed but who knows.
either way it isn't my responsibility to convince anyone of anything . I can only provide the information and they chose to learn it or not . it is all about where your standing and your view..
I have no calling to save the unsaveable I only do IRL . but I know others might and will try . all I can do is pray for them maybe because they were brave in that arena and maybe it is just their calling and they find it fun. . but that doesn't mean those who don't are scared either.
Hi there, I did not know you had said this until now. I actually had in mind more of the sort of person as described in Isaiah 29:13, and not so much someone with rare gifts or difficulties.

And so the Lord says,
“These people say they are mine.
They honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
And their worship of me
is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.

Therein is the problem! Other religious people are also following religions instead of the Savior. Salvation is clearly in devotion to the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God, and not in religious works and beliefs. That is understanding Christianity. If one does not receive the Lord Jesus into their heart and live for Him, they will have no part in the Creator-God ---the heavenly Father (see your Bible in John 1; John 3; John 14); and make special note of John 14:6 and read 1 Jn. 5:10-12.

Yes.

Christianity is not about a God that is far away and is only with us when we pray. That is not the relationship that Jesus Christ died for us to have with Him. Jesus is with us all the time, desiring to hear from His Children. That we put our problems and the things that weigh on us on His shoulders. That we love and trust Him to guide us in His will.

We do not get our faith from what our parents taught us, although it is a way for us to learn about God, Jesus and the Bible.

We have determined that God is real and that He is our God and that we are His Children. It is a personal relationship. That's what Jesus Christ died to give us. God with us and in our hearts and minds. Not just a taught religion.
