I really cant think of any that i follow.
If you are british, BBC worldservice is recommended by many.

Othewise, think locally and read your local rag (community newspaper). Also in most papers they will have a text for today but right near the back next to the crossword.

Anybody know of a good mainstream media news website I can follow besides Huffington Post? I've been out of the loop for a while and need to get back in. I need a website that's clean and biblical if possible. Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi GL,

Personally, I like christianpost.com. But, watch out for the numerous pop-up adds, they can be annoying, unless you sign-up for the advertisement free status.

Gentle Lamb, I would recommend www.drudgereport.com because it is so widely read and influential, but it is generally considered to be a conservative news source. If not that one, perhaps www.thehill.com, which is called Liberal but seems pretty balanced to me might serve you well. The shortcoming there--if that's how you'd see it--is that it's mainly about Washington DC doings and politics, not so much on news of the world. Neither service is explicitly Christian-oriented, however.

Theres lots of biblical websites but I find I dont follow just one, depends on the topic although I have found the daily Berean to be good, i get emailed every day with that one and found nothing wrong with it.

Think its through CGG church of the Great God. Alot of biblical websites of course may have a denominational bias, lots tend to be baptist because baptists are really into study their bible. Although this one does mention sabbath keeping, I dont think its SDA! Which you need to be bit careful of, as they have some weird teachings about end times, but then some baptists do as well. Like recently there seemed to be a plague of teachings about how the world was gonna end in september, like the rapture which some believers try and convince everyone happens every year and to get ready cos america is gonna be bombed or something.

But when I last looked america hadnt fallen into the sea...

W-e-l-l, the Church of the Great God would be considered a cult by most observers. It's a splitoff from Herbert W. Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God.

I don't think its a cult, as its born-again. The worldwide church of god was actually a cult and misguided. Most church groups end up being cults if Jesus is not their head. Catholics case in point. Use your discernment, as with anything.

The Church of the Great God is a continuation of the work of Armstrong. Its teachings are the same as the Worldwide Church of God. Here's just one example--concerning the (non)Trinity:

"God is the eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, supreme, all-powerful, creating, ruling and life-giving spirit Family (Elohim). It is one and perfect in character, love and purpose. Through its plan for mankind, its overall purpose is to expand the Family and thereby share its magnificent glory for all eternity. Presently, the God Family consists of God the Father and God the Son."

I dont think so.
Anglican church is also very liberal, so...and they believe some weird things about infant baptism, gay marriage etc and airy fairy rituals so...Whatever.

Its just a daily devotion and has scriptures you can check it out yourself, its not a website that you need to donate money to or join its church. You can take or leave it really, but it is being a berean.

I used to subscribe to this other one i think it was pentecostal and that was good for a while until it got into weird anti catholic end times stuff.
The same with baptist leaning ones until they got into dispensationalism and scofield teachings.

You want to check out what the Bible says and not peoples theology. God can teach you through his Word, i just subscribe for the scriptures. And different authors write devotions, its not just all one guy.

Got questions was one website that was quite good for newbies, I used to go on it a lot when first starting out as had LOTS of questions. But again, after got more grounded in the Bible I did notice some bias on that site as well, and it doesnt answer everything.

Oh Charisma magazine is another one, but thats more magazine lifestyle than news. I don't read it though as not really relevant for me, more for americans.

Voice of the Martyrs is a good one to get global perspective on christians in other countries, but news may make you depressed or spur you to pray...

If I think of any others I will post them.
We had a christian newspaper in our country but it closed and then another took its place but thats more of a church advertiser than a current affairs daily.

Just some advice..I think news can be addictive for some people and not really what God wants us to hear...as much these days is gossip and distorted. If something happens, of course ppl will tell you...being the most informed person in the world doesn't make you holy...we live by faith.
