in my local area now there's all these new restaurants and eateries opening up.
listing them by cuisine, we have

Japanese
Indian
American
Filipino
Mexican
Vietnamese
Korean
Thai
Mediterranean
NZ
Italian

Funny thing is, there's no such thing as an English restaurant. And when there's cooking shows, they all seem to cook Italian. Jamie Oliver, Nigella and Gordon Ramsay all seem to make Italian foods?! pastas and salads etc.

There was a Chinese buffet that I grew up with and absolutely loved. I felt totally at peace with the world when I finished a meal there, LOL. But sadly, when I was about 19, it closed down. And my favorite Chinese take-out was a one of a kind in my home town. But since I moved, I can no longer go there obviously. I was seriously considering staying just for that and another restaurant I loved, LOL.

When you eat Pavlovas, if someone rings a bell, do you start slobbering on your plate? lol

no, its named after Anna Pavlova,a russian ballerina, funnily enough. Due to the meringue, which looks like a frothy tutu I suppose.

Not Pavlov's dog.

Chicken chow mein FTW!

Yes, stick to the basics.

I always feel super ill after eating Chinese food. What's scary is that it never really stops me. I know what will happen, but that chow mien... too good to say no? I know, I am a weak person LOL

I think Orange Chicken is an American thing - I've never seen it in Asia. Must be like "Singapore Noodles".

Salt-baked chicken is great though. Personally, can't go past a firery Sichuan chicken dish myself
