My favorite story is about Duane Miller, who lost his voice to a neuropathic virus, though the specifics of the cause are a little sketchy. What's really interesting about it is that his voice healed while he was preaching a sermon on miraculous healing, at a critical point in the sermon. As a result, the healing was recorded, and you can hear it for yourself at

My grandfather was deathly ill from failed kidneys, and he was probably no more than a day or two from death when he was healed. He had an allergic reaction to penicillin, which caused all of his teeth to fall out and his kidneys to completely stop working. He was not a church-going Christian, but he decided to go to church that day, because they were holding a healing service and he had nothing to lose. While they were praying for him, he envisioned an angel removing his old kidneys and putting in two new ones. They didn't get to finish praying for him, because he had to run to the restroom. It was the first time he was able to urinate since the failure. It came out black as tar the first time, but his kidneys were completely healed after that, and he was a faithful believer then, though he never did get his teeth back.
