Et al. This piece of leather (arrow rest material) cost $2.99, shipping was $6.95, sent in a box larger than a Kleenex box. It could have been mailed first class in an envelope for 43 cents.

First Class mail offers no tracking, delivery verification, or guaranteed delivery time. I also believe it's more difficult to incorporate into a computerized shipping system and some platforms like ebay/paypal don't let you do letters online, while usps.com doesn't let you do any kind of first class mail online. Essentially, First Class mail goes into a giant basket and gets there when it gets there.

$6.95 gets you tracking, insurance, and a guaranteed delivery window and online purchasing & printing. I sell on ebay pretty regularly and refuse to use anything lower than priority mail precisely for those reasons.

What I think is happening is there is a financial consideration in the harvesting of these parts. I'm not judging the morality of any of it.
Charging what is essentially the cost of handling, storage, and delivery of the items is both fair compensation and legally upstanding.

So you have time to argue about it on the internet, saying that nobody has provided any evidence, but you don't have time to go watch the videos (at least the first couple) for yourself to see the evidence that everyone else is pointing you to?

I'm calling shenanigans. I don't believe you want to see the evidence. I think you're being just as disingenuous as the video editors. If you wanted to see the evidence, and if you wanted to know the truth, you would've watched at least one of the videos for yourself at some point in the last couple months instead of wasting an even greater amount of time complaining about its detractors.

Interesting, isn't it?

In the same way I'm not really interested in positing any truth to any documentary with heavily-edited clips of video made by an organization which hopes to throw mud at their opponent. The authorities involved have apparently hammered the issue out: the videos are deceptively and intentionally edited and PP is not actually guilty of what the authors of the videos claim they are doing.

An interesting read by a credible source regarding a legal analysis of the situation with regards to defamation: https://verdict.justia.com/2015/07/29/were-planned-parenthood-officials-defamed-by-misleading-videos

I don't think you understand my objection.

I have read independent analysis of the videos from disinterested sources. Have you?

No problem i'll clarify what i asked you.

Have you watched any of the videos?

No.

Why haven't you watched any of the videos?
Because independent and disinterested sources have identified them as intentionally misleading and selectively edited to suggest a conclusion contrary to reality.

EDIT: And thus not worth my time.

I consider them the same realm as the legions of videos on YouTube claiming to be of a "real" ghost or angel or demon or alien or chupacabra or whatever else.

Why haven't you watched them, even to see what all the fuss is about?

Are you avoiding them for another reason?

Because it isn't worth my time as they are demonstrably fraudulent, dishonest, and otherwise the irrelevant ravings of a group with a pointed purpose.
You seem to recommend I watch the videos in order to dismiss my objectivity of the issues. In other words, you recommend I become bad at thinking so I may find the videos especially compelling.

I don't blame you for avoiding them.

I wouldn't want to see up close what goes on behind those doors either.

It might cause me nightmares if i knew too much.

i'd rather go back to sleep.

Are you suggesting those are the reasons I don't want to watch the video?

In fact, if you bothered to read anything I wrote, you'll find I explained exactly why I haven't watched the videos. I do not avoid watching them out of abhorrence for what goes on behind those doors, nor would it cause me nightmares, nor would I want to go "back to sleep", (although your arrogant metaphor is about as sophisticated as expected, given the content of your post).

EDIT: corrected "watch" to "avoid watching".

So you agree with Foxhole87 that the videos aren't worth watching because they are little more than dishonestly edited propaganda designed to stir up up animosity towards Planned Parenthood.

I'll accept the findings of the Congressional investigation.

It's still a scam, like maintenance contracts.
