Foremost, God wants a relationship with HIS creation. How can anyone have a relationship with HIM, if they refuse to obey HIS laws? HE said we have earthly parents, and a Heavenly Father. If you obey your parents, you enter into a positive relationship with them. Likewise, if you disobey them, you enter into a less than positive relationship with them. God is the same way, more or less. HE is a searcher of hearts and souls, and is a jealous GOD.

Human relationships teach us about supernatural relationships. It's all very simple, as you emphasize, but without the physical counterparts it would be much harder to relate. I think the husband-wife paradigm is also a very important learning curve that teaches us about Yeshua's relationship to Israel.

People are always attaching soteriological concerns to Torah-observance, which really just problematizes what is actually a truly simple matter. Keep the law of God, because God said so. Salvation, damnation, let God decide that; let's just focus on obeying and studying his glorious Word !
I completely agree with you Hoshiyya! Obey Torah simply because God asks it.

Most of us here started believing as you do. Then we grew by study and learning. Hebrews 5:12
You would do better to ask questions and learn from the people here instead of arguing.

Accordingly, we need to take solid food. That requires chewing for proper digestion! LOL!

My dear, I know you mean well, but you do meet the criteria for teaching. You don't get to argue your contrary ideas in here. You can ask questions if you like. There is another forum, Sabbath and the Law, in the General Theology section, where you are free to debate your ideas. I go there a lot, as does Lulav. I find it fun, and I hope that the dialogue is enlightening to those reading.

That is like casteism in Hinduism!

We r all pretty much convinced we r right in our convictions depending on which scriptures we favor. Paul referred to being persuaded in our own selves. That seems to leave lots of room for personal interpretation! I feel led to observe as closely as I can the example of Jesus although I am not a Jew. I esteem the biblical holy days and Saturday sabbath as the Lord did. There is reference to these in Revelation. God was very picky about dimensions for the tabernacle etc. Also for months and days. Just some of the things I consider

So does the father child relationship. He makes allowances for us when we are young and ignorant.
If we choose to remain ignorant, that becomes a problem, and could indicate that we don't know him at all.

Or more better similarity is casteism in Hinduism.

No, it is obviously not at all like Hinduism or Sikhism or Jainism etc.

I don't agree with everything CF does, but I find the people who complain the MOST are usually people going through a missionary phase where they become especially hostile to Torah.

There are many incursions from the sitra ahra, but the rules seem to be set up so as to minimize those and allow for MJs to have the opportunity to productively discuss. The MJs seldom take advantage of that opportunity, but if they were constantly made to defend their views and retread the same discussions over and over, they wouldn't even have the oportunity to grow here.

UOTE="Open Heart, post: 68130849, member: 356742"]I post all over CF. I post in the theology section, the ethics section, etc. If I want to talk about Catholic stuff, I don't post about it here. I don't see what it has to do with Messianic Judaism. I will post in OBOB, or in one of the other appropriate forums such as Mariology.

Yet when I come in here, there is always a thread or two going about the Catholic church or the pope (and not usually a nice one). Why? Why HERE?

I don't think it's appropriate to the forum. It's not in the rules, and there's nothing I do about it. But I can have my say, and my say is this: I wish you'd take it to the proper forum and leave it out of MJ.[/QUOTE]
Openheart first let me say I have a kinship with u. Ur posts r respectful and u explain well. I am an ex Catholic among other things! For the life of me I cannot understand ur being Catholic as u lean so heavily MJ? I just wanted to share my thought with u.

You are correct. I think he also makes allowances for those who had abusive fathers.

Not all churches are mentioned in Revelation, but some are part of the prophecies, just like Jerusalem, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, etc... If they are in prophecy or people think they see them fulfilling prophecy they are subject to threads on them.

I am not hostile to Torah. Is that against sharing? No. But CF seems to be!

How can one grow in a sealed compartment? Just asking for the sake of the truth!

There is nothing sealed here, but how else do you deal with people who keep coming in and want to tell you that 1+1=3? Until they learn the basics correctly, you can't teach them anything.
