i think we have example in scripture for us in the accounts of shadrach meshach & abednego..And daniel... all in official position ..all refused to comply ,none resigned from their position . all said the lord is able to deliver but even if he does not ...we still wont bow down .

this is a clear case of the scriptures being written for our instruction and admonition in righteousness-these examples are recorded for us as examples in just such cases .
i agree with you that we do well to applaud her and in spirit be one with her .

Jobs were much harder to come by back then. And I don't think people could transfer to other departments.

I am not jumping anything. Like I said, I have been waiting a long time. I am just now starting to see God do a work in the church to prepare the Bride.

This is not to you in particular just a general observation that God has already had a bride of regenerated saints doing the hard slog of obedience for a long time. Its weird to me that people speak of waiting and a time is coming when that time has been here for ages and theres no point waiting when what those people are waiting for is already here and has been for a long time.

well to be fair ..there is a final season where a final harvest .. a final gathering in takes place .

and Remember the bride is the church in its entirety .. those that went before will be raised to life and be caught up to be with him at his coming and those that live will then be caught up to be together with them at his coming -since they are already purified .. if the lord does not purify the rest of the bride then those being raised to be with them would defile the bride by virtue of their impurity . So the final part of the body of the bride must ALSO be purified in preparation for his coming .

in simplicity she must wash shower and get in her bridal gown .. no one want to marry a sweaty dirty smelly bride lol

the scriptures are very descript in speaking about the time of separation when a dividing line is made between the true and the false ... it is what the final harvest and the mark of the beast is all about ..it is why pre trib rapture theories have never made any sense to be s they contradict everything else the bible states (buts thats me ) ..
for the most part especially in large churches with prosperity doctrines etc ..there are trained jesuits deeply entrenched working to push worldly doctrines .
when seen in the spiritual realm you would be shocked to see how many people in the church who look and act just like us all .. and tares planted by the enemy .
pointedly there for the purpose of leading others astray ..
if you think this is a strange accusation go take another look at the parables.. ie " the enemy came by night and PLANTED bad seeds among the good wheat

So in your opinion someone who gave a marriage license to a gay couple is in the world? I see this whole gay thing playing out for the last 5 months all over CF and it is really so crazy to me.

What I 'really' think is that marriage was something that Christians thought that 'the gays' would never touch. Now that they've passed laws, Christians are freaking out not so much standing up for God, but are freaked out like the end is coming. We are getting closer to the end, but I don't see gay marriage as a sign.

Wow. Guess you never heard of Sodom & Gomorroh then huh?

Fun fact: It wasn't the homosexuality itself that got Sodom nuked. It was the acceptance of such that did it.

so yeah. kinda a big deal.

fyi, she said through her lawyer. the reason why she is in jail, and not quitting, is that no licenses given without her signature, are valid. So that answers that.

Are you suggesting that there has been a previous rapture where people like Enoch were taken up to be with the Lord?

?? don't over read posts lol.. thats nothing to do with what she meant
We are talking about the Bride and Enoch was a type of the bride. So you can not say "nothing" when we are talking about shadows and types. The question has to do with the Bride that is alive when Jesus returns as compared to those who are asleep in Him waiting for His return. Paul said: "Behold, I show you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.…" So I thought maybe someone could explain this mystery of those who sleep and those who are still alive when Jesus returns. Because we shall all be changed, the last shall be first and the first shall be last.

Some of the Hebrew traditional beliefs is that it was their lack of hospitality and the way they treated the strangers. Heb 13:2 "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it."

I thought strange flesh was the angels.
Angels do not have flesh, Jesus said: "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." Some people try to say there were exceptions but I go by what Jesus said about it.

The more evil the world gets, the more we can be a light in the city on the hill. That's a positive thing. Let's go guys. Let's be lights in the darkness!
That is the whole point. The 70th Jubilee falls on the Equinox so light and darkness is the same length. Only the world will be getting darker but there will be more light in the church. There will be greater bondage and so there will need to be more of the Power of God to set people free and to cleanse them. Where sin abounds then Grace abounds all the more. So when Jesus returns for His Bride she will be without spot, blemish or wrinkle. A Radiant Bride and the world will wonder at her purity and beauty in comparison to their sin and iniquity.

It would have been hard to truly pin down exactly what the sin of Sodom was, if God Himself had not told us exactly where the Sodomites veered off course. It is found in Ezekiel 16. I fully realize that the prophet here is comparing Israel and Judah, but the fact is, in God's eyes, this is the real root of the sins that the Sodomites fell into...... and sadly had also snared multitudes of His people when God addressed them.

"'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy."

Ezekiel 16:49 NIV

In the KJV, it reads 'pride, idleness and fullness of bread'. Ouch.

This is scarily similar to the sin of the Laoedians.

"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked."

Revelation 3:15-16

See any similarities? Can we just be real? As a whole, the church in the west is not only in the world, but of it, and cannot yet see how in danger we are. But thank God, He is awakening us to our danger, and then awakening us to the cure. Lest any think I am espousing poverty. The solution is not to become a eunuch living in a cave, working six days a week, and trading in our cars for bicycles. That would be attempting to solve the problem with our efforts. What we need is a miracle. And praise God, He has one for us. It is called the new nature, true robes of righteousness.

"I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see."

Revelation 3:17

But oh how hard it is for us to see. Since the day we were saved, God has equipped us with new natures, white robes of righteousness. This is our armor. This is our sword. This is our shield. This is how we quench all the fiery arrows of satan. It is this acknowledgment .... and appropriation.... that we are NOW light in the Lord, NOW overcomers, that finally turbo-charges our lives from defeat to overcoming victory. It is when we finally come into agreement with God that we are dead and our lives hid with Christ in God that makes us more than conquerors. Listen to God describing the saints of the latter days.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the words of their testimony."

There is the truth that sets us free indeed. I pray all who read these words see.

Listen. We are not awarded shiny new armor as a reward for overcoming and trying in our own strength to resist satan's devices. If that was the case, no would would get one! LOL. No, dear friends, no. We are made overcomers because we have the armor on! This is not optional, if we so choose to live this way. It is not reserved for super saints, or for the fanatical, or for the clergy alone. We all NEED His armor, this new man God has given to us. It is what guarantees that even the weakest among us shall walk with the world, the flesh and the devil under their feet.

Guys, there is total safety and protection available to us in these last days. Evil will grow, no doubt about it. But hear me out. If we do not figure out how to get it cut out of us, it will grow in strength, for sin hardens the heart.

But that is not the future of the true bride. What a privileged people we are! We are the awakening saints! We are the ones who will refuse to live any longer, content with 'making a fair show in the flesh'. We are the ones who will make the choice to "make our tree good"... not by our efforts but by faith! We are awakening to the robes of righteousness He supplies and with it, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is about to turn our defeat and compromise into mind blowing victory.

But where do we start? The first thing we must acknowledge is that like the Sodomite, like the Laodecians, we have found our treasure in what this world has to offer, and have been content to be forgiven with little or no heart for a pure heart. We have adapted our Christianity to the world, rather than visa versa. Our standard at present is not God's standard. Ours is "We are just sinners saved by grace". But in these last of the last days, just as the Word foretells, God is raising a standard up for his bride..... holiness unto the Lord. Pure hearted. Single eyed. True living sacrifices.

The world is in for a shock. Heck, so are His own people! God is about to restore to us what the cankerworm has eaten. The latter rain is about to begin. God is about to be sanctified IN US before their very eyes, and it is this miracle... this dead bones type of Christianity transformed into a living bride prepared to meet her maker, that will shock the world. Many who love the light but who have avoided the church like the plague will be drawn into the kingdom.

As we all begin to walk in our rightful place, glowing with the presence of God, our lives will finally testify that their lives are evil. The contrast will finally become clear, and the choice clear also. Darkness or light?

Will we continue on in our own rendition of pride, idleness and fullness of bread? Sadly some will. The truth is, as the wheat is separated from the tares, the darkness will so overtake the tares that they will be convinced that they are doing God a service by killing those who have lit their lamps.

This guys, is the valley of decision we are now being led into, with clear cut choices. Ultimately, it is this.'

Us, or Him in us.

Either He is savior AND Lord, or not a savior at all. Our fence sitting is about to meet the shaking, and wherever our treasure is, there we will be found. To those who fear they are too weak for such a walk, I commend you. You just qualified. :)

Do we not see? It is the truth that we are no longer in the flesh and owe it NOTHING that plants our feet in victory. It is the truth that it is no longer us but Christ who lives in us that makes us immediate overcomers. But we are in desperate need of Now faith.

We do not grow into such a place of safety. This was not meant to be the culmination of our walk with the Lord, but the very thing that insures we 'walk and not faint' in an increasingly wicked world. This is how Christ keeps us from falling into sin. Yes, we will still be tempted. But the temptation is not sin. Temptations are external to us, not from our own natures, and once that truth is understood, we can stand fast in the faith, we can overcome by faith, and we can resist the devil and he will flee from us!

What good is a way of escape each time we are tempted, if we do not take it?

As the clock winds down, as a whole, His bride as yet knows nothing of putting on the new man. We have accepted defeat as the norm and amazingly concluded that this somehow magnifies grace. We are wrong. Without this appropriating act of faith, we have walked with no defense against satan. Thus, following the desires of our flesh, the end result has been, well.... pride, idleness and fullness of bread, right? But for those called to be saints, change is in the wind. Big changes are coming. GLORIOUS changes, changes so amazing that if our eyes did not see it, we would never believe it.

Blessings,

Gids

I think you guys are really jumping the shark right now over this. When God is ready things will happen.

The enemy wants us in fear. Jesus told us to 'fear not, for I am with you". I'm not going to be running in fear until it is the time that we have to.

The more evil the world gets, the more we can be a light in the city on the hill. That's a positive thing. Let's go guys. Let's be lights in the darkness!
When God is ready? Do you think it is His will that we walk with the enemy able still to get us to bow the knee? Doesn't God want us rather to know how to possess our vessels in sactification and honor? We seem bent on defending our flaws as badges of honor that somehow magnify grace. But willful sin is a different animal altogether. Are there any here who have not abused the grace of God and acted like the blood of Christ now allows Jesus to wink at our rebellion? God has told us in no uncertain terms the danger that lies here.

"If we sin willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment."

I fully realize that it is not referring to a one time occurrence. If that were the case, none of us would be there. But if there is a consequence in the end to this behavior, and there is, should the point made be that we cannot plead away a lifetime of 'one time' acts of pure disobedience and think Heaven will still be ours. At some point, the black dog has to die. The rebel that was us, our old nature, must willingly abdicate. Only then are we truly safe. But more than that, when that happens, and the seed who is us falls to the ground in death, then glory to God, we arise to newness of life, and victory that we cannot yet even fathom will transform us from a splintered religious social organization into the bride of Christ, magnificent in here appearance, with eyes solely for the one who bought her out of slavery and shame.

People reading my posts mistakenly think I am talking sinless perfection. Character flaws.... areas where God is slowly but most very noticeably changing us and filling us with fruits of the Spirit.... they last a lifetime in their amazing improvements. But willful sin? This is treason and we best awaken to its siren like danger. "Hath God said 'You shall surely die? You shall not surely die'." We've heard that once before.

We have been guilty of hiding our outright disobedience under the blanket of total forgiveness, but do not see what that is revealing in us. It is revealing that we are still ruling us, not God. We are trying to sneak into heaven, with a part of us loving darkness still. We do not understand yet. The valley of decision is the final place to choose..... darkness or light?

Oh, to you who fully choose light, God is about to make you shine!

But sadly, some will hesitate, and try to convince themselves and others that this is madness..... legalism... false doctrine. To you, I want you to carefully listen to this one verse of scripture, words of Jesus Himself, words that I wonder if they have ever been expounded upon in a church in the last 1900 years. Jesus is relaying a message to us.... today... and I so pray we listen and do not hide from the weight of what is being said.

It is found in Luke 19, and is found in the parable of the men entrusted with different measures of gold to watch over while the master goes on a long journey. When he returns and asks each to give account of what they did with the money, we all know the story. One servant of the master made no gain with it, and the master was angry. He told his servants to take from him what he had been given, and give it too another. He then uttered these words and it is good that all should listen and if needs be, tremble.

" Then bring all those who would not have me to rule over them, and slay them before me."

He cannot be our savior without becoming our Lord.

It is simple as that. Surrender is not a lifetime event. It is not an act of strength, but an ultimate confession of our weakness, and moreover, our need to be freed from the old nature. It is truly hating oneself, and Jesus says that unless we do, we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Pretty hard to spin that any other way, but because we can't, we simply pretend it is not there.

In these last days, God is asking for complete unconditional surrender. It does not mean you will stop wanting to shoot up, or get drunk. It does not mean you will not want to still do certain things that you tried to get away with before. God must do the changing. But it does mean that we surrender our will to be made into His will. I pray this does not discourage you. God is not demanding perfection, but rather abdication. Surrender is what we do in order TO cease from sin.

This basic foundational truth of Christianity has been lost for 1900 years, and thank God, He has abundant mercy on things we have done in ignorance. But those times are coming to a close, and the church is about to be led into the valley of decision, the threshing floor. And here we best fear for the time of God winking at our sins is passed.

The ground we currently stand on may look safe and secure, but the storm is coming and if we have not dug deep and uprooted the old nature that chooses to occasionally stare God straight in the face and say 'no', the danger cannot be understated.

Blessings,

Gideon

Ezekiel 16 is a very significant chapter. We were doing a study on it last Sunday. The baby covered with blood is a type of the Bride. When Jesus returns for His Bride she will have renown for her beauty: "renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty".

Angels do not have flesh, Jesus said: "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." Some people try to say there were exceptions but I go by what Jesus said about it.

This is incorrect. If they had no flesh, then why would Lot offer to feed them? (Or ask them to spend the night?) Or how come the two angels that met with Abraham ATE with him? It says flesh & BLOOD do not inherit the kingdom. Heck even our savior had a fleshly body. Didn't he tell Thomas to put his finger in His side?

Biology tells us that all flesh on the earth is related. So where do the angels fit into the tree of life?

When God is ready? Do you think it is His will that we walk with the enemy able still to get us to bow the knee? Doesn't God want us rather to know how to possess our vessels in sactification and honor? We seem bent on defending our flaws as badges of honor that somehow magnify grace. But willful sin is a different animal altogether. Are there any here who have not abused the grace of God and acted like the blood of Christ now allows Jesus to wink at our rebellion? God has told us in no uncertain terms the danger that lies here.

Why are you thinking that I said that? That is not what I said at all.

No one but the Father knows the time that Jesus will be coming back and all that will happen and does happen is within His will and within His time.

To you that means that I am saying that we should walk with the enemy? You should know me better than that, I am rather insulted by this insinuation.

What I said don't jump the shark was this idea that the sky is falling and that the end is not preordained by God. If we are His servants we all do His will.

Don't insinuate that someone else is not doing the will of God or bowing to the enemy just because I don't agree with you. Is that what this thread is becoming? You are getting way off course to what this thread is about. Is it to hear yourself talk or to get others opinions along with your own? And please quote me correctly next time!
