This was me back in September of 2011, age 13, at the beginning of my freshman year of high school. With Addison's my immune system is incompetent, and it feels like I pick up any contagious illness within a 100 mile radius. I'd caught whooping cough during an outbreak, and it was so severe it caused me to have an inguinal hernia which made keeping any weight on even harder. You can't tell from the photo because my friend is also tall, but I was 5'7 and so skinny only clothes for much younger girls would fit me. I had to get everything tailored. That picture is from decorating Sunday School classrooms; at school we had a uniform, and I was in high school but had to wear the skirt for elementary school kids and get it tailored. It's the reason the skirt in the photo you see in my profile picture here is so short. I'd modeled as a kid and my confidence had been based on my looks more than I realized then. I was accelerated in elementary school, so I was already the youngest in my class and with the weight loss looked even more child-like. Fortunately most of the kids were awesome and very supportive. It was only on YouTube and other internet sites that I received comments about how sickly and terrible I looked on my dance videos. I had to stop dancing for a while because I was so ill and there was an incredible amount of online gossip about it being because I was anorexic.



This was September, 2014, age 16 at the beginning of my senior year of high school.



I haven't been able to dance the past few weeks, but will begin again on Monday. I have a ways to go, but I do feel like I've come a long way!

So you can see why I asked? I just didn't think about how that would make you feel and I'm sorry. When I post publicly I also don't think about everyone seeing it. I only think of me and the person I'm talking to. Really black and white for me.

Michie - I've never seen a pic of you in previous pic threads. You look lovely! I have been picturing you very differently all these years (not that I didn't imagine you looked nice!).

MikeK looks similar to how I've imagined.

I've posted pics before, and I look pretty much the same as then, except I have a beard now. I don't have any pictures on this computer.

I thought Mike would be a little heavier and a head full of dark hair with gray streaks. Definitely didn't think he was a fellow beautiful bald brotha lol.

Thank you Jared! We take a picture in the flower patch every year. Haven't done it this year due to being overwhelmed with things since my father in law's death. But that is the latest!
