• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Everyone responds differently to all types of antidepressants. The older tricyclic drugs are the more "numbing" and zombifying types to be honest.
What are you taking and how long have you been on it?
If you do start the weaning process, follow the doctor's instruction...It can be pretty horrible if you come off too fast.

Your on two SNRI's? I would get off of them and go to a SSRI like Zoloft......My first Antidepressant was Prozac and it was good but I wanted to change so we went to Zoloft and man did it make a difference. I was like the AD was giving me breathing space to try ERP. Now have you consider something like a low dose of Klonopin? How is you anxiety? Rate it from 1-10. I take klonopin but it does nothing but keep the withdrawals away like rebound anxiety........Why I ask you about the SNRI is that they work on adrenaline and that can make your anxiety worse......Benzo's like klonopin are addictive because if you where like me it just melted the obsession and anxiety away.......Please talk to your doctor and get the full profile on what these drugs do.......I am praying for you Alma I promise. God will get you thru the test I promise you.

I will talk to my Dr about it. Sometimes I wake up sad angry dissapointed I'm still feeling the way then I feel like I'm mad at God. I honestly don't want to be this way I don't want to go to hell I want to go to heaven I want to love God and know that he loves to me i want to be happy again. I asked God if there's really something that happened can you let me know so I can get through it and get over it. Now I'm going through something in my body that the doctors is trying to figure out what's going on. Now I'm trying to stay encouraged to have faith and keep a sound mind just seems like a lot to be dealing with and I just pray that I get to some peace. It seems like when I take Ambien before bed there's a period where my thoughts are just so still and I feel like if I could just stay like this all the time I would feel so much better but I don't think they have a medicine that can do that
