Hello, my name is Jon. I was raised Catholic and attended a private Catholic highschool. I was never a firm follower of the faith. I went to church on Sundays, participated in the sacraments, etc, but never took it very seriously. After I graduated highschool I stopped going all together. One of my bestfriends invited me to attend his church which was more evangelical. This was when I actually took the time to read the bible. I came to the conclusion that there wasn't sufficient evidence to convince me it was true. Further, I studied biology in college. Science doesn't make any claims of the supernatural, but I was fascinated with what science could explain. I would call myself an agnostic-atheist. I do not dismiss the possibility of the Christian God, rather I find it highly unlikely.
I randomly came across this site and decided it couldn't hurt to at least have some friendly discussions and understand peoples faith.
Outside of any religious discussion, I enjoy hockey (Actually, I am obsessed.) Reading, technology, movies, music and many television shows that I have binged through on Netflix.
