• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Today I went down like a meteorite, streaking tail and all. I feel terrible and totally exhausted. I took my doctor's advise and took a little of my anti-psychotic this afternoon ( only .75 mg) All hell broke loose 15 minutes after I took that, strange how it increased the inner upheaval, I though I was going to loose it while at the same it deeply depressed me. It did manage to take the nausea away in the end. Not at all sure what would be best to do about the situation.

You're a real trooper, Jeshu. I hardly have much advice, because you know your illnesses and medication things better, but I must admit that I admire your strength at times. When I visited here more often, I remember a lot of what you went through. And yet, you managed to find it in your heart to encourage many people with wisdom and love, no matter how bad you were feeling. Said a little prayer.

all good.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to support you better than I did and hope you feel a bit better.
Thank you for your forgiveness. It's not your fault, Jeshu. You did your best, and that's all that counts in the eyes of God. Sorry about your nausea btw.
No problem, i completely understand things like that, i been there so many times myself.
Thank you, Poster0

Thank you very much for your prayer, it helped I'm feeling much better today, though still depressed, I haven't been nauseous today yet, hopefully things will improve for me over the next few days.

How have you been yourself? I remember when you visited here more often, but I haven't seen you around for a long time. Is life treating you well? I certainly hope so.

(How is the weather where you are? Any snow yet? Down Under where I am it is cold wet and windy.)

God bless

Thanks Loyal I hope you feel better soon, it can be hard to feel ill and still be thankful towards God. I hope that you will be able to stay close to Him.

What is Experience project?

Experience Project is a website full of people sharing their experiences, but I've had nothing but negative experiences on there. One person was so callous towards my problems that I almost ruined my own life via self-harm (and I'm having a difficult time forgiving them)

I often find myself getting around the wrong people. Maybe its because im so weak and vulnerable to treachery, or maybe its because they are so treacherous, and maybe its both. I dont know what it is exactly but i have experienced a lot of pain and heartache inflicted by others. I must avoid such people for my own sake.

That's why I'm avoiding that site like the plague. The people on there are total jerks...

Good. I slept and relaxed all day, talked to a friend for a bit, played CIV 5 and have written a lot. One of my cats peed on the floor yesterday/Sunday because she's getting up there and I guess, feeling a little neglected so I snuggled with her for a little bit and went out and bought her her favorite flavored tuna for cats. She was really mad at me earlier because she was cuddling at my feet and I saw a giant spider and panicked.

Always shocking how depression can strike even when there are amazingly happy moments in life.

Yes. I try to rationalize these things by observing positive aspects. Although i suffer with things i don't even understand, it does tend to help me be more empathetic and compassionate. Many people don't understand these struggles and their words can be judgmental and cold.

Yes, the judgement from others tend to be mostly because of the lack of knowledge. Or the lack of wanting to understand.

An every day battle some times.

When we suffer like this, it tends to teach us that knowledge which others may lack. People often only see a glimpse of Gods word, they tend to miss the teaching about humbleness of mind, compassion and mercy, which is not only the command we have been given but is also the way of edification as well. I think we are blessed even though we may suffer, we are blessed to see what others seem to miss. I guess i try to count blessings, i try to see what seems like a curse as a blessing instead.

I'm better. Weather's too good, it's like a late summer. I don't like warm. Didn't know you were from Australia, if that's what you mean by "down under". You got wombats there! They're great. Try to catch one!
