.... which leaves this hard core Minnesotan with only one question:

How do you plan to do that through the Boundery Water Canoe Area and the Superior National Forest ?

Not to Mention Lake of the Woods and Voyageurs National Park ...

And the St. Laurence Seaway.

Every Sunday I light a candle thanking God for the St. Croix River

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), a staunch advocate of beefing up security on the southern border, said Sunday he is open to building a wall on the U.S. border with Canada as well.

What an idiot

That is because a lot of Islamic extremists are in and heading to Canada and can cross over at many unmanned points. I don't think this is necessary and is a poor idea, but I understand why it's even an idea.

Great, the Republican race is going to degenerate into one-upmanship over how many walls they will build.

Perhaps how tall their walls are and their quality(measured in estimated illegals kept out to the mile, or "IPM") will be next on the menu.

In seriousness though, I doubt these wall ideas will become more prevalent than 2-4 candidates.
Very surreal, in a humours-if-it-wasn't-so-depressing kinda way.

Scott Walker is an odd duck.

What's next for a candidate that wants to compete with Trump's southern wall? Not a unique idea because the border has always been an issue for certain politicians at certain times in their career. Namely, running for election or re-election.

But what's next? Terrorists can enter at our ports , on our beaches, through our inland waterways. Are we to become a walled nation? Build a wall on the coast of the Atlantic and Pacific states? And inward along the gulf coast?
Terrorist can parachute into America in planes that fly below radar. The drug cartels know how that works when they drop their drug shipments that route.
And as far as the terrorist issue is concerned, we have citizens in America that are flying overseas to join terrorists in their fight. Which tells us terrorists are home grown. As if all the headlines about that one aren't evidence in itself. When Ft. Hood makes the news, or a terrorist Muslim that beheads a woman at work makes the news.

C'mon have some imagination. There will be more one oneupmanship. Isn'r Carson who suggests that in addition to the wall that we use drones to kill the immigrants.

There's a Republican radio host in Iowa that says we should find them and make them into slaves.

No, seriously, slaves

This is an example of just how succesful the terrorists have been, seemingly normal Americans have proven themselves to be cowards and are willing to undertake massive projects in order to feel safe from a largely imaginary boogieman. Any rational person would look at the number of deaths per year by given causes and respond to them in rough proportion to their likelihood. Cowards will respond irrationally to whatever threat they are being sold by their puppet masters. Too few rational persons and too many cowards is a recipe for disaster and inhumane treatment of other people. History's shown us again and again how....quickly people who are scared will consent to doing evil against other men. I am not concerned in the least about radical Islam in this country, I am scared of what evils my countrymen will campaign for as terrorists continue to make statistically insignificant attacks and MSNBC and FOX continue to scare the less rational into believing that they are at grave risk from terrorists. Yes, 9/11 was a really big deal and yes we should be observing terrorist communications and movement and reacting with force when warranted. We should not succombing to fear, we should not restrict our freedoms or consider resurrecting the Berlin Wall an a grander scale.

I find that impossible to believe of Dr.Carson. Would you provide an article that supports that please?

Excerpted from the article... (emphasis mine)

(CNN)Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is open to using military drone strikes on American soil to secure the border.

"You look at some of these caves and things out there one drone strike, boom, and they're gone," Carson told reporters near the border Wednesday, according to CNN affiliate KPHO.

The retired neurosurgeon discussed illegal immigration following a helicopter tour of the U.S.-Mexico border, as well as smuggling and scout locations.

"I'm suggesting we do what we need to do to secure the border -- whatever that is," Carson said. CNN has reached out to the Carson campaign to clarify whether he'd back lethal force from drones on the border.

the first bolded part is untrue. the actual rub is in the second bolded part. you can't and shouldn't label most people as cowards when the media and politicians are to blame for this ongoing paranoia. a scare tactic that has been used multiple times in this country's short history, just with - as you put it - a different boogieman. however, you also can't deny the number of insignificant attacks - again, as you put it - is due to the increased awareness and continuous work done by various law enforcement agencies, both on a local and federal level, with further aid by various agencies whether they be military or intelligence gathering uniforms, both domestic and international.

that's also what both the media and politicians use to contort and use against people. fanatical attack done elsewhere. foiled plot within the country. we're not safe. build wall.

I don't blame Wisconsin residents for wanting to jump the border into Ontario, at least until there's a new governor.
Only they elected him AGAIN so... Even though you don't like him, the majority of people in Wisconsin do.
