Hello folks, brand spankin new Christian here with so much growing to be done. I've got a lot of reading to do still before I can really do much participating on this site, But I do have one question in mind that I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out with. When Jesus Says in Matthew 13:50 "For whoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother" does this pretty much denounce the idea that my biological family is no longer my family?( No one in my family is Christian, and this is the heaviest burden everyday that I wake up. They are all such good people, they are just completely blind to the truth.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I'm seeing it is they are still my earthly family, and because they show me nothing but love and do not persecute me, I can still hang out with them.

Our earthly family is temporary but our heavenly family is eternal. That said your earthly family is still your family and becoming a christian doesn't change that. So no nothing changes. And welcome to the family of God:)
