Neat.
God told Adam to name the animals; but He named the stars Himself.
Yes, and he named her "Eve," because, as Adam put it:Well, fair is fair -- If Adam needs a help meet, it's only fitting he gets to name it.
Forgot about that, was it Adam that named Eve woman?Well, fair is fair -- If Adam needs a help meet, it's only fitting he gets to name it.
God named them both ADAM:Forgot about that, was it Adam that named Eve woman?
Cool, so Eve was named like the animals!God named them both ADAM:
Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
But Adam changed his wife's name to EVE:
Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
LOL -- not exactly.Cool, so Eve was named like the animals!
Naming something is an act of dominion. It is symbolic of having control over something. Theoretically Adam was given dominion over every living creature. No one pretends that humans have control over the stars.Neat.

Good point!Naming something is an act of dominion. It is symbolic of having control over something. Theoretically Adam was given dominion over every living creature. No one pretends that humans have control over the stars.
I do not know how helpful she was, she got him thrown out of Eden. Maybe he only has himself to blame for following her in eating from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.Well, fair is fair -- If Adam needs a help meet, it's only fitting he gets to name it.
What humans have does not matter. The question is what humans had. Many feel that, like Jesus, the second Adam, the original had control of nature. Like Jesus had fish come to a certain area, calmed weather, etc.Naming something is an act of dominion. It is symbolic of having control over something. No. God referred to some. (Job)
He knows each star by name. He called them a certain name in Job. He knows. You don't.I have referred to constellations myself, from time to time, and that doesn't mean I created those names.
Hey, all I'm saying is, just because Job refers to a constellation by name doesn't mean that name was ordained by God, and its silly to claim that's the only possible interpretation of the name appearing in Job.Did you refer to them in writing; writing in the capacity as a secretary for God?
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?Hey, all I'm saying is, just because Job refers to a constellation by name doesn't mean that name was ordained by God, and its silly to claim that's the only possible interpretation of the name appearing in Job.
Here's the reference:
Job 38:32
32 "Can you lead forth a constellation in its season,
And guide the Bear with her satellites?
NASU
Nothing about that being God's heavenly ordained name; perfectly sensible to understand it as the name used by Job and his friends at the time.
Even if He had told me the name of each star I would have forgotten it by now.He knows each star by name. He called them a certain name in Job. He knows. You don't.
Big Bang theology is also indistinguishable from Omphalos."Embedded age" is a theological belief in how God created the earth. Just as God created all of the plants, animals and humans in a state of maturity, he created the earth with "embedded age." This allows them to believe the earth is only around 6,000 years old yet shows signs that it is 4.5 billion.
