We have another offer!
Yes, we've been through this two other times...
One buyer opted at the eleventh hour for a house
instead of buying our townhouse.

Second buyer... came with a low-ball offer.

This buyer...came within three thousand of our asking
price...one subject: inspection, which is to be done next
week...it's a military couple who are in the process of
retiring...the closing is Sept. 4, so we will see how this
one goes...I'm tired but still hopeful this will be "the one".
...otherwise, it's back to us being the "number one" tourist
attraction in Chilliwack...no kidding! We've been over-run
by folks coming to see our place 3-4 times each week since
April...please Lord, let this place sell...pray...thanks for reading
and praying.

That's great, BFine! This one sounds promising, for sure, but that's a really fast closing! Do you have another place lined up?

Our place was occupied prior to us by someone with mobility challenges (used a w/c), so it's easily adaptable. I'd love to sell you this one for that reason, but I don't think anyone is going to want it for Mr. Stinkie. He's such a nice guy - I wish I had the nerve to tell him how badly he smells.... Anyway, I'm sure you will find something appropriate.

Question-- is it one level or is there a bedroom
on the main
floor or are all bedrooms upstairs?

There was an apartment we had our eye on but we
found out today that it had an accepted offer on it
and the owners weren't open to other offers...so
they must of gotten their asking price, which was
reasonable...I knew it would go fast.

We are scheduled to view some places tomorrow
morning around 11 am...there's some nice places
that have come on the market recently, so we are
hopeful things will work out favorably.

ValleyGal I've gotten a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes and the cucumbers are good, I've
pickled a couple of them...it got a little cool and
the plant took a "hit" and it looks "sad" but the
cucumbers are surviving thus far.

My lemon tree
is doing well and has several fruit
on it, I'm going to bring it inside tomorrow and
hit it with more "light"...the tree needs a good
8-10 hrs. of
sunlight and it's not getting that lately.

I have all the mint I can stand, it's taking over!

Everything in ours is on the main floor - it's only one level, and that's ground level. No stairs, not even to get in. But it's small, and after seeing your beautiful place, I don't think you'd be happy in mine. Ours is very modest, small and 90's. I like it here except the neighbour's smell, and if I were not so sensitive to smoke, I'd like to stay, but I think we will put it on the market and see what we can get for it.

I'm so glad you were able to salvage my plants and benefit from them! And the mint - evidently, it's normal to take over - it will grow everywhere you let it, so you might want to find a way to keep it contained. Also, you can probably dry it or freeze it if you use it in tea. Your lemon tree would do well on my patio...it get sunlight all day, all evening. I'm thinking of putting up a lattice and vine just to keep the heat out. I have a bamboo blind, but it's not as thick and effective as I thought it would be.

*What's the square footage?
We're looking at either apartments or a one level
townhouse/ or a rancher.

*We bought our current place in 2009, the housing market was really down...our townhouse wasn't in good shape then...between ourselves and WCB,
we got the place looking like it does now.
We had only been in the place six months when my husband

got injured at work and had to have his left leg amputated...he'd been on his new job a little over six weeks.

My FIL/MIL were also generous and gave

us many things back in 2002 (when we got married.)
We started over with very little, but God

sent people to bless us.
The newest furniture we have is
what WCB bought for my husband after his accident/loss of
limb.

Just so you know:
Our neighbors smoke...so there are "Stinkers"

around us too.

Oh yes..the open homes viewing. Grr. I was reading a novel about house buying called 'the tender conflict' by keitha smith. what a drama! Probably the biggest thing for people and most stressful thing you can go through. Prayers for you.
