How old is he?

My 7yo and I watch Naruto (classic and ship) and the Avatar series from Nick. He watches Dragon Ball Z, but I was never a fan so we just set the DVR to record it and he watches it when I'm working around the house.

I used to watch One Piece and Dragon Ball, I think Dragon ball is way to vicious for my kids to watch, but I will let them watch things as Naruto, Elfenlied, Kuro[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]suji, Pokemon :3

Not my kid, but my little sister (3 at the time) I introduced her to anime through Pokemon, and she loved it and still does.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

My favorite out of all of them is Avatar: The Last Airbender. The ending is awesome, and very different from the typical good vs. evil ending. In the end, the good guy actually shows mercy to the villain and instead of killing him, "erases" his powers and sends him to prison. It is a good message to send to children, that killing the enemy is not the answer, that there are other ways. I recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender most out of all of them.

I know this is old but Seriously? You think Dragon ball is too vicious but Elfen Lied is fine????

Ok look, I don't know what is wrong with your kid, but when I was a kid and I watched cartoons I did not try to go out and do crazy things afterwards. TV shows had no influence over me. I'm not saying that it does or does not influence kids, but you don't see every single kid on the planet going out a doing crazy stunts after they watch TV shows, right? Right. It's only a select few who do this, out of all the population of children.

Spongebob isn't anime. It's an American production. Anime, by definition, is Japanese.

That being said -

If your threshold is as high as you make it out to be, then I'd suggest tracking down the original "Kimba The White Lion" television series. It was the first animated series to be made and broadcast in color in Japan, and at least six episodes of the English dub were released via $1 DVD bins a few years ago; I'd have to see what the full series set is going for.

The big thing is that Disney plagiarized Kimba (specifically, the theatrical Kimba movie) in order to make "The Lion King", something that Disney's own in-house material makes pretty clear.
