Discouraged

Today has been really hard for me. I go in two weeks to see a neurosurgeon about my back. I have lived with chronic pain for a year and a half now. I am to the point that I can barely remember what life without pain was like. I know God loves me. I know He's in control and that he has a purpose in all of this but it is still difficult sometimes to deal with everything this pain has brought with it. I don't want pity or cliche answers. I just want prayer. Thanks.
