Hello, I would like to start off by saying any response is appreciated, I really value your time that you have generously dedicated to me.
I am a 16 year old male. I have been a Christian all of my life, and I know I love God. I believe with all my heart that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I have allowed him into my heart for free reign on whatever he wants to do in my life.
I have been recently delving into the Rapture, reading Bible verses, researching online for a better understanding. I understand this is not the best idea, as the internet is not always a reliable source. I do plan to talk to my parents and pastors.

My questions:
-If I believe Jesus died for my sins, and have allowed him into my heart, does that guarantee my place in Heaven? I have been told so, many times, but would like a little more clarification.
-Repentance. I know that I must repent of my sins, but what if I die before I repent of a sin? Am I going to Hell? I know it seems like a ridiculous question but I really do want to know exactly what repentance means. Repentance cannot mean that I stop sinning altogether, right? Because I try, but I always find myself sinning again, like everyone does, so I want to know what God means when he says he wants me to repent.
-I have heard that not many people will make it to Heaven, not even many Christians. Why is it that not many Christians will make it to Heaven? Do I count as one of those Christians who might not make it, even if I love Jesus, believe he died on the cross for me, ask for forgiveness, and feel sorry for my sins?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Hunter, My name is Richard and am also a Christian and a father! I have just read you concerns about Rapture and also the other question about going to heaven! God would not like any one of us to God to Hell because this is a place for torment of God's enemies! Now God likes us to understand that He has enemies and if any one lives the same line with God's enemies, the same is just one. God has sent us several warnings and finally send His son just to give us the same. So because this is a spiritual matter, God gave Jesus out to reach to us to remove the uncertainties/queries and beliefs such as rapture. Fear always creates alternatives. There willbe no such a thing as rapture, Jeus will come back soon to judge both the dead and the living! The only reason why people are talking about rapture is, as they themselves continue in sin, they do not want any of their own to live this wing of sin. they will fight you, they will mock you, just if you decide to take on all instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ. See Mat 10:34-38. A person's enemies will be his own household. If you read the scriptures, you will continue to get peace and true hope. God bless you!

Wow. I guess being the offspring of a pastor qualifies even if you are grown. (my dad was ordained in the Wesleyan Methodist denom)

Great questions.
-If I believe Jesus died for my sins, and have allowed him into my heart, does that guarantee my place in Heaven? I have been told so, many times, but would like a little more clarification.
Salvation is so much more than just a guarantee of your place in Heaven. IT is having God Himself with you all the time in the person of the Holy Spirit. It is walking in a new life by HIS power. Maybe my answers to your other questions will more specifically address this.

Yes we all have a tendency to sin. That is because we are living in a fallen world and are fallen ourselves. Repentance means turning around. The OT word means to change direction and walk a different way. The NT word means to change your mind, reverse your way of thinking. "I am not going to think like that any more;" "I am not going to do that again;" and take steps to make that happen. That is repentance.

I am not sure where that came from. I have heard it too and I can tell you it is WRONG, period. Everyone who truly calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. If you have sincerely given your life to HIM and are seeking to walk in obedience to HIM, then you are saved.

Salvation is a covenant, not unlike marriage. Once you are married, you don't get served divorce papers for messing up a few times. If you get rebellious, cheat on your spouse and insist on leaving and going your own way, then probably you will get divorced. But as long as you are trying, God understands and His grace and love covers a multitude of sins.

So I would rest assured that unless you make the choice to leave the Lord, you are saved and in His good graces.

What are the odds of the end happening now..?

The end to all life would be cataclysmic and would rend the world. If only certain people get salvation then how do you know you're right over the many different secs all with minute differences. At this points it's just a shot in the dark

What I'm saying is don't just dig yourself so deep in you can't get out. If rapture comes or it even ends up happening what are the odds of it happening in this life time. Thousands predicted and we're wrong. Don't fret over things like that, you'll ruin your life over fears and if it happens then so be it. I'll stay probably (definetly) because that everyone is so sure that their belief is correct and mine well I got real lazy and clicked something with my eyes closed.
