Some of you may have seen some of my previous posts - and have noticed my countenance changes extremely, from loving life and my walk with God, to debilitating depression. I suspect a mold problem might be a contributing factor.
So today I decided to clean up under our sink, since it has been smelling and looking pretty bad from a leaky sink pipe. So I took everything out, noticed what I thought to be dirt and stuff EVERYWHERE, and proceeded to clean it up as best as I thought I should. I didn't think about this being mold until later. So I wiped all the "dirt" out with dry paper towels first and then scrubbed with various cleaning stuff (unfortunately no bleach) and thought it was okay.
Then a thought kept popping into my head: "Mold. Mold." So I did some research and it turns out that was probably black mold under our sink. Looking at what kind of health problems it can cause is making me concerned.
Especially considering I cleaned it up myself without taking any of the precautions that are recommended when cleaning mold. I didn't wet it down, I didn't wear a mask, I didn't use bleach... and my family and myself have been experiencing heightening health issues in the past months: headaches, depression, nosebleeds, allergy symptoms... so I'm pretty concerned. And now I stirred up all the "mycotoxins" into the air, so maybe we're just sitting in it, getting worse.
Sorry for babbling but I'm a little freaked out and don't know what else to do. I come here for help.
I have prayed, but if you would pray too, that would be wonderful. My mother is getting somewhat elderly and I hope that we could be protected from serious or lasting damage from this problem. And for us to be able to eradicate this from our home.
