Shameful post. But in a league with many other Americans, in the main (sadly) who refuse to call Israel out on its crimes against children...
Do you realise the people who committed it were arrested? Unlike the Palestinians who celebrate Children's deaths by handing out candy whenever an Israeli is killed and the name streets after the murderers. You make me sick by ignoring the numerous crimes committed by the Palestinians, who are squatting on the land.

Um, Palestinians are not "squatting on the land". Israeli settler's are.

The Catholic Church recognises the Palestinian's legitimacy to their part of the land.

All killings are to be condemned on both sides, especially children.

However, there are massively more Palestinians killed by Israel than Israelis killed by Palestinians. For that matter, there are more Israelis killed by road traffic than by Palestinians.

I guess I'll have to live with the guilt...:)

I pray the current, racist, military regime is indeed demolished and a new, open, multi-cultural state rises where people of all faiths and none live as equals under the law...
I have never seen you have harsh words for Iran before, but finally you have seen the light.

Just yesterday, I heard the theory postulated that the "promised land" is not really a "place," but rather a condition of being in relationship with God. When Moses disobeyed God and struck the rock twice, God told him he would not live to see the promised land and would instead wander in the desert for 40 years. But the "promised land" was not a place--rather, it was his relationship with God, which was impaired when he tried to take control (getting water out of the rock) from God, forgetting the Israelis' dependence on God.

So, in looking at the promised land as a 'state of relationship,' are the Israeli's depending on God right now? Are they cooperating with God's plan? Is their possession of nuclear weapons, restricting Palestinian freedom, large standing army, etc. what God wants? Does it follow Jesus' model of servant leadership, of welcoming Samaritans and publicans?

Is the "promised land" in peril because they have ceased depending on God in favor of being a nuclear power?

Agree with you ,and on the hypocrisy of the western left ,or rather their twisted thinking, and their perhaps ,even jealousy of this people who have taken a land which was underused to say the least ,and to make a success of it .Success ,hard creative work is hateful to these lefties ,because it highlights their own pitiful inadequacies .So while living Under Islam would be terrible for them ,they prefer
to pretend they care about Palestinians ,but it is rally a' red herring'.

Maybe it is ,but what was the land used for before ,and why are Islamic states so concerned about this 'strip of land ',when there is endless land in the hands of Moslems .Would they bother at all, if the Israeli settlements did not high light the laziness ,and total inadequacy of the previous incombents to develop the land creatively ,and to work together for the higher good of their community ?

The Catholic Church recognises the Palestinian's legitimacy to their part of the land
Iran and Hamas recognize no legitimacy of Jews over even a shovelful of the land.
Israel has no partner for peace in carrying out negotiations. The Intifadas rung out that message loud and clear.

Israelites owned the land before the Muslims ...in fact the Jewish faith was the first religion that God spoke into existence...
Then the Islamics [Mohaddians] took it over thru killing and slaughtering in the 600's but was won back in the 1950-60 era.

So i wonder - who were the real poachers - squatters?
God Himself placed the Jews into Israel and Palestine was part of their land... in fact Israel - if you look at an ancient map was a lot bigger than the current Israel.

I am so tired of the anti-semitism.

Read the Bible. The Iranian rhetoric won't happen. The going is rough to be sure, and people are always speaking in rebellion to God, but God's plan will not be thwarted.

What must be remembered by both sides of this debate is the soul that sins will die; Zionist or Muslim... or western for that matter. It is important that we keep Christ at the center of our focus.

The statement quoted is both not okay and not really that important from a Biblical point of view.

I am so tired of the anti-semitism.
Iran denies the last holocaust, while planning the next.

And in doing so, it has whipped up a large following of Western admirers.

Then resist calling Israel Zionists.
If Zionists do exist their numbers are comparatively smaller than the whole nation of ppl.
I have yet to see you refer to Israel [the ppl and country] as Israel.

The entire ME has persuaded many the Holocaust didnt happen.
And ppl seriously believe it.
Debunking this new myth has sites to show the Holocaust happened...

But we are Catholic - we are quite used to this kind of revisionism of history and false stories.
Heck, the Crusades were rewritten and even nominal Catholics believe the ME rhetoric now.

Do you view the term Zionist as being something to be ashamed of?

Only when you use the term because as explained in here previously a Zionist is a zealot and killer.
I have argued previously that a Zionist is actually a Jew of Israel - but the word seems to have changed.
Given the history of these discussions and the new understanding of the term - i am aware of how it may be used in the context it is used in - by members of OBOB.

Revisionist understandings of the Crusades as Catholic barbarity have prevailed for centuries now.

Western holocaust deniers had a large role in introducing that narrative to a ME very willing to believe in that Jewish conspiracy. World government set up by a cabal of Jews in Jerusalem to do the work of the devil is a message that the people of the ME want to hear.
