I have been getting his "In Touch" booklets since late 2011 and I have to say that I find them helpful.

His Early Light section which are small devotionals are especially helpful.

The one that I just read for today is labled "Sanctification: God's Grand Plan."

The summary at the bottom states in reference to us being called saints, "We are given this moniker-which shares its root with sanctification-not because we live sinless lives, but because we live a life consistent with the One we represent."

Good stuff!

ok..u asked..he can really teach the doctrine on paper about grace:thumbsup:, but then when he starts to give his sermons, they are oozing with condemnation, as he keeps thinking we are the flesh, buy continually talking about the flesh in a '"we" or "you" manner, while connecting us to the flesh, it's all about dynamic really. So long as I raise adam, we will see adam and the condemnation will follow, but if i impute life, as a new cov minister should, 2 cor 3, then life will be there, not death, because i am not using law to bind the conscience.

So again, he can write it good, but careful on tv, not to mention i am 99% sure, he is a cessasionist too.

He has mentioned spiritual gifts before in these booklets, so I'm not sure if he is a cessasionist or not.

I only read his stuff, I don't watch it on TV.

Yes, Boidae ... "good stuff". :)

God has used the "good stuff" of "In Touch" Ministries to bless my life for many, many years now.

I think the Lord can even use some who do not believe in His supernatural manifestations to teach very good truths on other subjects, I don't think we should just outright reject a teacher because they don't fit into our theological box. We should always examine everything we are taught, whether by the most trusted teacher near us whether our pastor or sunday school teachers or ministry leaders, etc or someone who teaches at the Nazarene church down the street, etc. You get my point. Our pastors are just as capable of teaching falsely from the Bible as Charles Stanley is and usually our teachers are more dangerous because we tend to trust what they say more without checking it.

Just my opinion, I think Charles Stanley can be a very good teacher, just check with the Bible what he teaches. :)

Only thing I can say about that is that he does not believe in the so called "name it an claim it" theology. I would never limit the power of the Holy Spirit. He can operate in any way He wishes to as long as it does not violate the scripture. There is lies the rub. Often it is a matter of interpretation. The "Charismatic" folks are my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am open to any conversation regarding differing interpretation except the doctrine of salvation. Our Calvinist brethren who love and worship the Lord in spirit and truth yet within the faith one will find almost haters of the opposing view. God has the final say so. I believe that God judges our hearts as to our beliefs (Theology) are based on sincere understanding (limited as it may be in my case) of the scripture or justification of a occupational view point.

I do not ever remember hearing anything that he preached that made me think "that's not right", I think he is very solid.

I would be more afraid of a WOF teacher than Charles Stanley. IMHO, Charles Stanley does not add things. WOF preaches things like 'we have the power to speak things into existance' or 'we are little god's with a small g". I have 2 of Charles Stanley's books too. Solid also.

Me? I hardly think of Charles Stanley at all. :)

JimB.. how are you SIR! It is ..I am so blessed to see you. I miss the few chats we had many years ago. I pray the lord has blessed you richly and your family is doing wonderful.

Anyway.. I think Charless Stanley .. is great. Not to many "safe" ones you can go to. Since we are all family and not one of us has the 100% truth so to speak. We are one body and .. put together and then put the REAL leader (head Christ) on.. we will are awesome.

Amen. Like Billy Graham.

His son Andy is a great teacher also.
