Hey there, I was on vacation back in June, and I decided to jump into a pool that was a bit too shallow and I rolled my ankle. It hurt really bad but there wasn't a ton of swelling so I didn't think anything was seriously bad. Still it hurt for weeks and then got mostly better. Now it is hurting just as bad as when I first hurt it. I like to walk to the gym, and I've been very motivated at the gym lately, but this is really bumming me out. Walking home from the gym the last 2 days have been agony. I'll drive today, but it still hurts and I don't know if I should just stay at home a couple of days or what.

I made an appointment with the Doctor, but she can't see me until September 8th! Then it will probably take 2 or 3 more appointments to get anything done. Please pray I can keep up with my workouts without too much pain in the mean time!

oh gosh you and me both. I have a hand/wrist/arm injury... didn't think much of it at first either.. and delays delays to get help when it started to seize up and start screaming.. was excruciating for several weeks, I literally rarely got out of bed, was afraid to move the dang thing.. .. it really amazes me the state of medical care in this modern year of 2015. They always tell you to get attention right away with an injury.. lol try it.. seriously, I'm pretty sure my right wrist is dislocated but since there aren't any 'broken' bones' it's real tough to get help.

I think btw, when things get slightly moved out of position, bloodflow gets mangled up, nerves etc, and that's what causes the worst pain. I located a chiropractor, no money to really go in yet but did a consult.. he is knowledgable in nerve/bloodflow type stuff, sports therapy. My experience in an emergency room was like this.. what's wrong (try to describe fully in coherent english in a few sentences when in great pain).. so they x-rayed my elbow yes my elbow hurt but so did my hands.. I never got a chance to mention my hands it all went so quickly.. the doctor spent a good 2 minutes with me afterall.. sent me on to a orthopedic doctor who again only looked at the elbow (which is locked up! will barely move!) and when I mention my hands (crush injury) he says "oh I don't do hands'. Super. Still looking for a doctor but real wary about letting anyone cut into there. Like, maybe they don't do elbows? And check this out.. I go to the local county free health clinic. They look at the arm. They send me for a pap smear. lol. I didn't go. Pretty sure it's not needed at the moment.

LOL! Thank you so much for your stories, advice, sympathy and prayers. I appreciate it all, they are very entertaining and make me feel better to know someone else has a similar problem, though I'm sorry you have to deal with such things as I do!
