2 dreams for interpretation.

CF got rid of the dream interpretation forum here. In Orthodoxy, it is never considered bad to ignore dreams, as they can easily lead one into spiritual delusion. The only thing you should do is to pray and not give your dreams more attention than they warrant, which is little to none.

Wow, that is interesting. I've had multiple dreams in my life that turned out to be exact predictors of various situations. Ah, well. The Body of Christ is nothing if not diverse!

In the 2nd dream, I had some kind of vision which I can't remember (I should probably write these dreams down straight after having them). I went to a place where people where getting ready to go live in space but they were receiving some kind of mark (I assume this was the mark of the beast). I tried to warn people but nobody would listen to me except 2 people (One of these 2 people was my best friend). I ended up inside the room when the mark was being given to people but I was overlooked somehow. The 2 people and I started running as fast as we could from the building but while we were running I turned around and saw the rocket exploding with the people in it. As I saw the blast approaching me, I lay down and prayed to God.

This second dream was scary because it felt so real. Even when I woke up, I thought the dream had really happened and my heart was beating furiously.

So those are the 2 dreams I wanted to share with you. Any thoughts and interpretations would be greatly appreaciated.

You cut off Jesus toes?

I had a prophetic dream as a child when i was 3 and ive never been able to shake it. We walked outside and i ducked because there was an enormous red planet right above us where the clouds usually are and everyone was laughing and talking and forming lines to board this planet but i was terrified! The size was massive and it was so close. I believe it was prophetic because i had no knowledge of the planets or space at the time of this dream. I really freaked out in school when we learned about them! From what ive seen and remember the planet looked like Venus.

Do not attempt!

I've had enough to know they are mostly meaningless. For example.....
I've been in a number of "cinema" classes. As a result, many of my dreams focus on
panning, long shot, continuous framing, color techniques, genre types,etc.

So I know my dreams are entertaining, and focused on what I've learned.
Likely your dreams entertain you, and are based on what you've learned.

Entertainment is not for discovery of truth.

Wow, that sounds like a really strange dream for a 3 year old to have. It must be really freaky to see something in real life that you have only seen before in a dream.

I agree, but the first dream was not based on what I learned or my thoughts/struggles at that time.
Cutting Jesus' toes off was certainly not entertaining, It was disturbing and creepy and still is.

I have no argument for the 2nd dream as it was based on stuff I had learned about.

it was very scary in the dream because id never seen anything that big in the sky before (and still havent) and i didnt know how to express what i had seen to my mom or anyone. It was actually refreshing to find out that what i had seen had a name! It was a planet! I mean id seen the moon before but i didnt realize what it was yet.

I spent years with a woman doing this. Each day, and we had similar life situations that required us to live in the same house, she would tell me her dreams.

In a few years, I stopped. She should be able to do that now herself. She only got the normal dreams, but they bothered her at first. Finally, for her she found her dreams were nothing more than Really Weird re enactments of her previous days experiences.
I know of three women, who sometimes get dreams from God. They all have the characteristic of being far brighter than normal, when it is God.

I am a mystic. One day, I was none to sure of my calling. Oh I went. I was pretty sure who was calling me. (Mary). I was fairly certain, of who was helping her, when I made a poor decision not to go, the fisrt time she called.

I actually didn't know I was a mystic yet, and the method by which I was called was quite unfamiliar to me. So, maybe refusing her is somewhat forgivable. I don't know.
On the second calling, I did me. Finally I arrived, but was sure much was wrong. I went to a foreign country alone. The trip was stealth then. I could not even tell others on the plane, where I was headed.

When I arrived, I got lost of course. I only had a name, and a really rough statement of my destination. The weather was bad. I got stuck in Frankfurt. Finally they cleared enough snow to board the plane.

Arriving late in Dubrovnic, lots of things would go wrong, to me. They switched cars on me. I now had a larger car to drive, which is no blessing in Croatia, ten years after the war or less. The roads are poor, narrow, harrowing, mountianous, and very very poorly marked, back then. I don't know about now.

I have an Army coat on. Again, I was not warned of their status. It is late. The Bridge is down, for bad weather. I can't read the road signs, and I don't know if they will kill me at a moments notice or not.

Later seeing the sign for tanks on the road scared me, but I knew this was going to be no picnic.

At near my destination, in January, I was really not feeling good, especially with the falling sun. I had just passed a small weedy narrow pathway. It looked like an American golf cart path, but no longer used.

I was close though. I had general directions. We are a small house below cross mountain. That golf cart path looked like the correct turn, geographically, but surely that was wrong. It is not a road.

Finally I pull over to a house, with a grocery store also in it. All I was supposed to have to do is name drop. It didn't work. So I pull out my email, and show it to her. She points back to that golf cart path.

Argh! This is scary. It's supposed to be easy.

I took that golf cart path and drove. And drove. And drove. My courage again ran out.
When I became really upset, internally, I looked for help. Another small house converted to a dual use, grocery and house was on my left. I pulled in. I showed the woman there my email. She leaves the store. I am left alone. no way was I not going to follow her. Cell phones are going off. A woman from some unknown place approaches me.

This is not going well at all. No one seems pleased. She points. "There. Park your car there" She points and talks. It is only three and a half houses up.

Leaving, I am so confused and fighting down a rising sense of panic. (my whole life is this way, I am a soloist in life for some reason.) I drive and this rather upset man is near. I park my car get out and look at the man. Are you my host I asked. "How do you know my sister?" Great, enter foreign country, barely get by the two sets of border guards, beware of tanks on the road signs I just passed, and now some guy is accusing me of treating his sister incorrectly, and this is still a war zone, just a few years ago.
I am shown to my room. No one is friendly. I leave and go about my business.

Supper is provided with my room. So is breakfast. At suppertime, I arrive and of all things, there are Americans there. That I was not expecting, nor the next part.

As we are eating these Americans tell me about themselves. They are shocked by me for some reason.

"No one comes here alone"

Words like that bothered and surprised me. My life has always been that way. One of the women at dinner talks to me strangely.

"Talk" I listened and wondered. Does she get white prophetic dreams? I said nothing. Others drop in and talk to me strangely again.

That night for other reasons I could not sleep. I went out climbed the mountain at night, and promptly got lost.

"Okay. If you want me here" lights came on. I saw the path, someone with a flashlight was on the correct path. The rest of the phrase was, If you want me here, you had better get me unlost, or something like that.

I climbed. I felt. And I totally missed the presence of The Holy Spirit, and my state of light ecstasy. I would not notice that for months or maybe years later.

It was perhaps two in the morning, and when I finally got back to the quarters, it was maybe four. A light mist rain was falling. My coat took care of it well.

Getting back, I am bored, and really I can totally remember now what The Holy Spirit feels like, when He is covering an area. No matter what the wind is, it does not chill, rather it almost warms. I can feel Him as a presence in that now.

I wait and wait, the staff arrives. Breakfast is made. I quietly staying out of the way saying nothing.

Eventually these people come down. My coat is hung on a side chair. I take a position far from it. The talk starts. These are Californians, no less. All are nurses, except for the male. He is a husband.

They are afraid of the weather. Their plans are ruined. They can't go outside.

"Look at that coat over there." They do.

"That coat has been up to the top of the mountain and back down again"

"Is that too wet? "

They all ageed it was not. I became quiet and social again. The woman to my right starts talking. She is a Charismatic Catholic or something that sounds like that. She mentioned to me but to all of those there, that she gets dreams that come true but no one believes me she said.

"All of you be quiet and I am going to tell you precisely what her dreams are like. Should she not disagree then I am right"

"When you get these dreams they are much whiter and brighter than normal. (she will miss this next part). And if you are an artist, you will actually see colors. "

They are only white. She interrupts me. She finishes. I go on.

"within three days of that dream, it happens, and there is absolutely no way to prevent that dream from happening"

I might have told her more, nine years ago, but she would stun me. Yes, she said. I had one about you. I was told you would be here and that we were to listen to you.

Immediately I became concerned and then slowly realized that whatever they were supposed to hear, they would hear.

Dreams, some if them are like that. It is in Acts.

Dreams are often crap. For example, sometimes I worry about nudism. So what do I get? An unpleasant dream where I have to get naked with a bunch of other people. No subconscious meaning.

I had a dream where I had sex with a man. Did it make me gay? nope, it was a dream I got from worrying about such things.

I've had dreams where monsters show up because my family does something stupid, and they can't Save me from the monster. It just means that sometimes I feel like they let me down. No big reason, because that's just my perception of it.

Only changing the colorful metaphors, YES. YES, to everything you said. And you, the Original Poster, he has perhaps said what dreams really are better than I have. Normal, dreams are just that.

Only a few people get the other kind, but even to them, those other kind infrequently happen. They infrequently happen as compared to normal dreams as Mr. *****1006, so well described.

Both types exist though, both types do not exist in all people. The Holy Spirit, in Acts is said to give one thing to one person, and another thing to another person.

My point was that dreams don't always have a spiritual meaning. They sometimes do have meaning, but not a deep, spiritual meaning. Just a reflection of your worries and thoughts right before bed.

Hi,

Yes. Thank-you. I was worried. I was worried that sometimes, you didn't know, that a dream can have a deep spiritual meaning.

I don't get these dreams as a rule. Others do get them as a rule, meaning for them they are normal.

The people I have known like that, all three of them, live a life similar to the prophets of old. They are harassed. No one belives them typically.

The person like that I knew, took me years and still I had trouble believing her. Now, it is easier, and it only took me 40 years or so to do that. Maybe longer.

I was worried that you did not know that some people, in fact do have those items mentioned by Peter in The Acts of The Apostles 2. Thank you again for calming me.

I once had a dream where my dad divorced my mom, moved into a new house with a certain colleague, and after moving in married her. 6 months later my parents divorced. 2 years later he and that colleague moved into the house I saw. 2 months after moving in they got married.

I've had quite a few dreams like this. But most of my dreams don't mean anything, being able to determine which dreams are from God is good.

As a general rule of thumb, God won't give you dreams to frighten or horrify you. God isn't a jerk. If it's a nightmare, it ain't from God. Dreams can be considered a form of prophecy, and bible is clear that all prophecy is for edification, exhortation, and comfort. God doesn't deal in the realm of scaring us and harming us. I'd say the dreams of the original poster were not from God, and if anything they were attacks from the devil. In which case, ignore them.

In regard to your dream. Before I read it I ask the LORD what he was thinking. He showed me a milking cow, with two teats being milked. And He gave me the following verses of scripture.

1Pe 2:2-3 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

I believe God wants you to desire and seek his word, the bible, your friend need this. As you seek his word, you will find that you will be able to work with the LORD to save your friends. It is through the bible, and growing to know God in his word, that good things will follow you. The word will feed those who listen to you.

As for the dream I believe the rocket represents logic and human reasoning / achievment the world are focused on these things. The two people would represent friends people you know, and I guess people you will meet. It is through relationship with Jesus, and his word that people will listen to you. As for why they did not see you, I would imagine it is, because you appear normal, they did not recognise you as a person of faith due to your abilities in God to appear one of the crowd, if you know what I mean, your normality, sensibleness will make you invisible to them. But your faith and passion will save some.
